Donkey and I were on a mission to conquer the Jeju Fantasy Bike Path, cycling around the island to get our certification while soaking in the beautiful scenery. As we were going counterclockwise, we decided to end our cycling adventure with a few days of relaxation at the I-Jin Hotel in Jeju City.
After settling into our cosy room at the I-Jin Hotel, we were eager to sample some of the local cuisine. A quick Google search for nearby restaurants led us to Jeju Yukro, a Korean BBQ restaurant with over 500 glowing reviews, all giving it a perfect five-star rating. The reviews emphasized the restaurant's high-quality grilled beef, and that was enough to seal the deal for us.
When we arrived at Jeju Yukro, we could feel the buzz of excitement in the air. The restaurant was packed, and we were told there was a 30-minute wait for a table. It was clear that Jeju Yukro was a popular destination for locals and tourists alike. We were happy to wait, though, as the anticipation for a delicious meal only grew.
Once we were seated, we were warmly greeted by our server, who was incredibly attentive and helpful. The side dishes, or banchan, were a feast for the senses, with a variety of flavorful and tempting options. Whenever we needed anything, whether it was extra sauce, garlic, or more side dishes, our server was happy to oblige.
We ordered the Beef Brisket Set A and the grilled pork cutlet cheese fried rice. The beef brisket was exceptional, made from premium beef, and the salted pollack ssamjang was also excellent. All the meats were perfectly cooked by our skilled server, ensuring every bite was a delight.
The grilled pork cutlet cheese fried rice was a flavorful and satisfying dish. To complement our meal, we ordered a bottle of original flavour Makgeolli, which was refreshing and balanced. The makgeolli paired well with the food and added to the overall experience.
The food, the atmosphere, and the service at Jeju Yukro were all top-notch. The restaurant's commitment to using top-grade, non-frozen meat truly elevated the dining experience. It's no wonder why the restaurant had so many...

We ordered a selection of premium cuts of beef and Jeju black pork, all of which were of exceptional quality. The Overland Set A, featuring tender pork chops and juicy beef ribs, was a delicious start. The beef ribs were truly exceptional, made from premium beef. The salted pollack ssamjang was also excellent. We also tried the Beef Brisket with Beef Brisket Set A, which included flavorful preferential galbi and tender Korean beef brisket. All the meats were perfectly cooked by our skilled server, ensuring every bite was a delight.

Read moreI’m was so half hearted when I arrive and the queue was 30-45mins wait. It’s not fun standing in the cold wind waiting for a table and alone at that. But it was completely worth it. The staffs are so patient to explain the menu to me. And because I was alone, I had no choice but to order the black pork set.
It looked like too much for me but oh my, the meat is so good and with all the side dishes, it was easiest the best meal in my 7 day trip to Jeju. The seafood sauce was a bomb of flavours and something I have not tried before. They didn’t rush me to finish my meal but encouraged me to take my time. The staffs were pleasantly surprised that I managed to finish everything but honestly if the food wasn't that good, I would have gave up halfway. A definite must try place if u stop...
