What a fantastic place to stay in Seoul! My friend and I stayed here for two nights and had a great experience. The location is ideal... close to the Namsan Tower, the Myengdong subway station, the airport bus stop (which provides transportation to/from the Incheon and Gimpo airports), and is only a few subway stops away from the Gyeongbokgung Palace. As two women, we felt entirely safe walking on the streets around the guesthouse at night. We actually walked back at 9:30 from seeing the Namsan Tower at night. The surrounding streets have a fun atmosphere with tons of shops, people walking, and street vendors. |As far as the K-Stay Guesthouse goes, we thought it was excellent. The staff could not be any friendlier or more helpful. The man at the reception gave us directions to a delicious restaurant, looked up bus information for us, and even carried my heavy suitcase down the two half flights of stairs. The room was small, as described, but it was clean and we had access to a hair dryer, fridge, and extra towels at no charge. There is a small breakfast provided from 8-10am which offers coffee, tea, several kinds of juices, milk, preserved eggs, and two pieces of toast per person with strawberry jam, peanut butter, and Nutella. I would definitely recommend the K-Stay...
Read moreIt's absolutely cheap for the quality of this hotel. It's simple yet it can accomodate most of your needs. The subway station is less than 3 mins of walk away so are the local restaurant or other restaurants in your taste. The rooms and bathroom are clean, they are big enough to be comfortable in. The breakfast is very simple but absolutely nice, sometimes the dining area may be crowded with other guests but it's still nice. Sadly it doesn't have an elevator but it has a lift for baggages. And lastly the most excellent part is the service, their service is nice and comfortable to talk to, they can speak multiple languages including English, Japanese, and possibly many more. The receptionist is helpful and nice, she greets you when she sees you and they are very hard workers. The service is just terrific 11/10
People who either wants to travel simple could stay here, it doesn't have fine dining but somewhat of a familial vibe when you come in line it's home.
PS. We came mid October and the Halloween...
Read moreI and my three friends stayed at K Stay Guesthouse for 6 days because it suited on our budget. The room was small (as seen on the pic) but was very tidy. The blankets were thick enough to cover us from cold weather. The room itself was warm and no outside noises! Plus the staff, especially Mark, the owner were very accommodating and polite. Their warm smiles and sincere offer of help (especially in carrying my heavy luggage) made us feel really welcomed.||And their breakfast was hearty. We love the toasted bread (you have to toast it yourself) with eggs, and jams, and coffee or juice.||Myeondong market, Namsan tower, Nandaemun markets are just meters away. You can reach them by just walking!😊 The subway is just a block away too. Around the guesthouse are restaurants, beauty shops, entertainment hubs, etc. Even on a tight budget, we were able to maximize our money and time by staying at a place where we can spend less but save more.||We'd definitely book at this guesthouse again when we come...
