This hotel made our visit very easy. It is very conveniently located close to the airport limousine bus stop (if you choose to take that from the airport) and the metro/subway…both are less than 50 metres from the hotel entrance. Although Myeongdong is very touristy, we liked being able to step outside and wander the lanes to look at shops and food options. Nandaemon market is close by (about a 10-15min walk) . The hotel restaurant was closed for renovation at the time of our visit, so check their website , it should reopen sometime in October. There is a cafe on the ground floor called A Twosome Place which serves coffee, tea and sandwiches etc - it’s a western style chain and is what you’d expect from a chain restaurant. I recommend going elsewhere for breakfast. The room was cosy and comfortable - we got the superior twin Mountain View room….we had a view of North Seoul (Namsan) Tower and the big Daiso store across the road! The bathroom is a little small, and there is only one hook and one towel rail, so makes it tricky for two people (nowhere extra to hang change of clothes). The shower door swings out only which makes it a feat to get out without walking into the bathroom door itself. Bathroom amenities are Malin & Goetz, in full size bottles. There are no teas, but very excellent house coffee is available with a kettle, cups and bottles of water. (The cups are thick sturdy paper cups) Additional free water is available from down the hall where the ice machine is. We also got a traditional yakgwa cookie after checkin. The fridge in the room is very small. It only has two bottles of water in it. The hotel instead has a “maxi” bar on the 3rd floor (reception level) where there is a wide range of drinks and snacks available for purchase. It also has a lounge area and Nespresso machine for more coffee. There is also a WOW-pass machine opposite the reception desk which is VERY handy, as you need one of these to get around on the subway. Overall I would be happy to stay here again. While it’s not “luxury” it ticks all the boxes for what you need in a room and besides , you are only sleeping in the room anyway, Seoul has so much to offer that you don’t need anything more in a room.

Most convenient location I’ve stayed!! Highly recommend staying here. Room we stayed at was Superior Twin with Mountain View via Agoda ✅ Pros: - Location is really nice, there’s a subway station in front of the hotel and 1 min walk beside it - The area is located behind the myeongdong streetfood area so great for tourists to explore and lots of popular shops nearby like Olive Young, Music Korea, GS25 convenience store, Daiso - The hotel rooms were clean and there was daily housekeeping if you note make up room. Showers were strong and had hot water. 2 bottles were also provided - Staff was very friendly on 3rd floor and can answer inquiries in English. There’s a wowpass machine also where you can add money, but for Tmoney you need to go subway to add money to your wowpass. - The toilet has an electronic bidet that works fine. - Highly convenient to go to the airport!! If you take Airport Bus 6015 it’s like in front of the hotel so you don’t have to carry your luggage via stairs. 💡Things to Note - No toiletries are available like toothbrush, cotton or cottonbuds which you can purchase at Floor 3 / Olive Young / bring your own. - The hotel room was a bit old wherein there were small marks on a certain wall - The Daiso lights were a bit annoying when sleeping so I would close off all the curtains - Pillow was quite flat. Should have requested a new one from the 3rd floor

I stayed last night at L7 Myeongdong and was faced with a series of disappointments. I booked the "Trip to L7 Lotte Tower" package which came with two observation deck tickets and a Starbucks gift card. We were turned away from the observation deck and told it was closed, even though we arrived an hour before the close time listed on the website. When we expressed our disappointment at the hotel front desk over wasting 1.5hrs on the last night of our honeymoon they offered nothing more than a bottle of wine which we were not allowed to drink at the rooftop bar. At checkout this morning we were provided another weak apology with two additional Starbucks gift cards. On the train to the airport I was slapped in the face when I went online to check the Starbucks gift card balance only to find ALL THREE CARDS had not been activated and had a 0 balance. The view was great, the bed was comfy, but the service was the worst I have experienced at any hotel of any star in my life and ruins the entire experience. If looking for a 4 star hotel in Seoul, we stayed our first night at Four Points by Sheraton Namsan which had impeccable service.

Update: After I left the hotel, I was alerted a few hours later that house keeping claimed I consumed a snack from minibar which I did not. Reading from Google review, it sounds like this is not just happening to me but other guests too. Rating changed from 3 stars to 1 star because such false accusation from house keeping is serious and is a criminal offense. If you want to charge me for the snack based on false accusations by your house keeping person, feel free to do so but take note that being a Lotte chain hotel, this hotel is a total disgrace and I will never return to any Lotte Hotels ever.

Anyone who wants to stay here, please be aware and make sure you verify that you are not falsely accused by house keeping.

old review: I have previously stayed here in 2019 and was impressed by the hotel so I decided to come back again for my latest trip in 2023.

The customer service is still top notch as check in and check out processes are smooth and the staffs are very welcoming.

The rooms however, have shown much wear and tear. I stayed in Room 2010 for my first night but there was no hot water for my shower and I was shivering in the shower. The bedside lamp light was flickering and I have to switch it off.

I went to the reception the next day to request for a change in room as I need hot shower and this was done very efficiently and smoothly, thanks for the wonderful service from the staffs.

I checked the shower first thing when I enter the room to confirm that there is hot water in the shower. However, when night came, the water is cold again.

I have no idea why the hotel keep running out of hot water at night. After a long sweaty day in the summer, your customers need the hot shower. Not everyone can bathe in cold water.

I did not change the room again because it seems like an issue with the central system and not the room.

The room I had this time was just a mattress on the floor, unlike the proper bed I had when I stayed here in 2019. It was extremely uncomfortable. Due to the cold shower, I had a flu and running nose by my 3rd day.

Will I stay here again? Probably not. The stars in this review are given to the great service provided by the team & the location of the hotel. I would have give no stars...

Every night I have been here there has been protests under the building lasting hours with music blaring starting from 6/7pm lasting well past 10pm. Just keep that in mind for any recent travel plans, if I had known this would happen I would have stayed somewhere else for my last week in Seoul. Hotel is 4/10 the service isn’t great, the beds don’t have real sheets on the them just a flat sheet draped over the mattress tucked in and the breakfast buffet is underwhelming. Would definitely recommend another hotel in another to stay since you’ll need earplugs here at the least.

Edit: The next day this hotel started doing fire alarm tests in the building. Woke up to blaring alarms and a message saying there’s a fire please evacuate, only to scramble out of bed to see staff in the hall who told me it was a drill. No warning of this. I can’t wait to leave this hotel. It’s been a truly poor experience for a 3/4 star hotel with the constant noise levels at night and in the mornings, as well as housekeeping forgetting to replace certain items such as water bottles so I had to call and ask for that. Additionally, I asked for an extra blanket which they charge for unlike other hotels. The hotel did offer to change my room to the other side of the building after my initial review but unfortunately that would have been even more inconvenient since I would have had to pack and move all my belongings myself vs the staff helping move the luggages or even offering a luggage cart with wheels for a better experience. When I arrived it was my personal hell trying to move 3 bags by myself up to the 12th floor and to my room. I really wish this hotel gave me a partial refund for my stay because I had such an awful experience instead of sending a bottle of wine to my room (I don’t drink so that’s a waste). I really wouldn’t recommend this hotel for any reason, there are plenty of cheaper hotels in the same area and even more that offer a better experience while also being conveniently located to the...
