K-Guesthouse Dongdaemun Premium — Hotel in Seoul

My review for a 2 night stay as 2 friends in a Twin room with windows.Plus points: 1) Value for money, no frills, simple breakfast included2) Excellent location by DDM History & Culture Park Station, Bus Stops and short walk after you alight from Airport Bus 6001 alighting at Toyoko Inn3) Near to DDP and DDM shopping area, food options, and convenient stores nearby4) Able to store luggage5) Water cooler on every floor for hot and cold water6) Aircon is great during summer!7) Elevators! (though a little slow at times)8) They provided towels and shower toiletries9) Faces main road not along alleyways, keycard access, main entrance and lifts have to be operated by keycards after 11pm, so pretty secured imo10) There's a small fridge in the room, and I believe you can use the common kitchen to cook or reheat simple meals if you want to.Points to note (not exactly negatives, dependent on tolerance levels):1) Cleanliness, overall ok, but I don't think they clean the corners and under the beds2) Old linen, sheets3) Very old building, tiles cracking along the hallway, definitely in need of better maintenance4) The shower is connected to the sink, which means no separation of toilet and shower. Everything will get wet if you are not careful5) Small space, but manageable imo, we were able to fit and pack 2 x 24" luggages in the twin room.6) Wash your own dishes after having your breakfast, not an issue for us, thoughOverall, it's an old, budget, no frills guesthouse. I was in Seoul, K guesthouse Premium (Dong Daemun) from 19th Dec to 29th Dec. I stayed at this guesthouse. The room for 3 person is too small and there are no other bigger rooms available. The room given to us was just right for 2 person and a big squeeze, especially with our luggages. During our stay there, we noticed that there was not even a phone in the room for contacting reception in case of an emergency. The wifi was unpredictable and the toilet was way too small. During shower, water gets out through the door and there is no way that you can shower without water getting out. I would not recommend this guest house to anyone except if you are a lone traveller. Cleaning happens once every 3 days only. Till then, guests have to discard our own trash and hair and dusts by ourselves. There are no fresh towels at the reception and we had used the same towels for 3 days in a row. The staff at the reception are very unfriendly and do not like it if you ask them multiple questions. They get impatient and reply to you to go read the signs and notices displayed. The staff are rude and do not greet guests in the morning or evening when you are there. Extremely unacceptable attitude. I would give this guesthouse a negative rating. The only plus thing for us was the presence of a wash machine in our floor, (6th floor) and we could do our laundry and set it on a stand to dry. That is the only positive thing that I can relate to.
