Moon Hostel — Hotel in Seoul

It was my third time staying at Moon Hostel. I booked a bed in the dormitory on 4/F. The bed was comfortable. The cleanliness of the shared bathroom was acceptable and the shower temperature was consistent (it's very important during cold weather). Body wash, shampoo and towels were provided. The staff were friendly and helpful as always.||||The Hostel is close to Exit 3 of the Hongik Univ. Station. It is convenient to travel around with Subway Line 2, Yongsan line and AREX (airport express). It takes about 3-5 minutes walk from the subway to the hostel. You may get to the main shopping area at Exit 9, around 10 min walk from the hostel.||||Ramps and escalators are installed at Exit 3, so it won't be a nightmare if you're with heavy luggage. I was always leaving with bags and heavy suitcase so I particularly love staying at hostels in this area of Seoul. It takes a little bit more than an hour, including the time getting the luggage downstairs and dragging the heavy suitcase all the way to the subway platform, to get to the Incheon Airport by AREX. ||||Recommended for travllers looking for budget accommodation...

This hostel was a real treat to stay in. Located in a quiet area but within walking distance of buzzing Hongdae, the rooms are brand new, bright and clean - in comparison to many hostels it felt more like a hotel. The area felt safe to walk around at night. Stayed in a private room with shower which was still good value. The owners were helpful and friendly. It was also pretty easy to get to the subway and to the airport from here. There is a very cute dog that hangs around the reception area, maybe don't stay here if you are scared of dogs.||||Breakfast is fine - white toast, cereal, fruit and they also cook you eggs! Definitely recommend staying here if you are on a budget or looking for a quick stopover in Seoul. If you are wary of hostels then this place should change your...

Poor service Reception only have staff before 10pm but you still need to call them to come down. Absolutely no one can help you after 10pm, no matter by call or by internet.

Poor security Everyone can come into the building 24 hours without a key. Luggage of checked out guest will be left unattended in public area without attention of staff.

Very poor hygiene Stain of blood on toilet blood! Lot or dust or hairs on furniture on floor. (Even I used to be dirty)

Poorly equiped room No bed sheet for one of the bed in twin one! ( One bed has, one bed doesn't ) And no staff can help! Ridiculous! Fridge is out of order and full of dust.
