The location is very central 5 min walk from||Plaaca Catalunya which is the last stop from the airport bus.||||The accommodation is on the last level of a residential building. They took the whole floor and made it into many rooms so it’s not actually a hotel. The reception is not manned 24/7 but if you need help you can press a button to make a video call. However you can’t get towels since the reception is not manned and they don’t have them on hand all the time like a normal||Hotel so that was a bit annoying. The only thing I didn’t like is that from reception you can see inside the room when you open the door so there is not much privacy whoever is sitting at reception when you open your door to leave they will see inside your room. They also don’t have a place to leave your luggage. I was told I could leave my bag in reception as someone wi be there around 12:00 but I did not want to leave my bag unattended even if they do have cameras. In the street next to the hotel there is a baggage storage for €8 ||||The accommodation itself is very modern, it has a good sized bathroom and a window in the bedroom so you can get fresh air. The location is excellent it’s right across the street from el cort ingles so you have everything at your doorstep. The airport bus stop is 5 min away.||||Would I stay here again? For a few days it’s ok I just don’t like that there is no privacy from reception to your room. You can hear everyone coming and going since your room is right next...

No recomiendo a nadie hospedarse en Fontanella by BCN Urban Rooms.

Do not recommend this place. The location is great and the bed is comfortable, which was convenient as I’m in Barcelona for work. Unfortunately, that’s the only positive thing I can say. The property offers no services at all, the staff is rude, poorly trained in hospitality, and speak neither proper English nor Spanish.
I’m staying for three weeks, paying over €200 a night for a tiny room with no amenities or customer service. The “receptionist” tried to charge me €104 in city taxes when I was only supposed to pay €38, and even wanted to charge extra for my husband staying with me for the weekend — despite not offering any additional service whatsoever. They refused to provide extra towels, too.
To make things worse, I’ve been asking for an invoice for my employer for four days and still haven’t received it. Overall, an extremely disappointing experience. I would not recommend Fontanella by BCN Urban...
Read moreStay here for the location only- this is not in any way a hotel, just a room with a bed.
Probably our largest complain was our room had four beds but the bathroom did not have a true door. Putting an actual door on the bathroom for even a semblance of privacy would go a long way.
Check in process was overall very easy, you get codes for everything so no keys to lose.
The balcony is nice. The room did have a bit of a smell when we got there, but that might have...
