First time at the Riviera beach hotel, on arrival met at check in desk. Given clear information of how the key cards and safe works. Took copy off our passports then given room number and dining card to present when using the dining facilities. Our first impression of the hotel is that it is very open, bright and vibrant. All areas are very well signposted, which is helpful.
Our room booked was a balcony room as we like to sit out in the evening. View from balcony was of 'Uncle Peds' pub and can be noisy early evening near the weekend but not too bad. Rooms are spacious, very clean and have everything you need, fridge, tv, kettle, options of tea/herbal tea/coffee/milks and sweetners or sugar. The initial complimentary hot drinks are within the booking, you can have this replenished on request for a small cost. Phone in room you can contact reception for any support there is a multilanguage laminated sheet with instructions and options/numbers to speak with staff or other rooms also kitchen. On the desk is a welcome pack, all information you need abot the hotel facilities is in the pack. You can order room service for €6 and 30cents for every item ordered, this includes drinks. Complimentary toiletries shower gel, shampoo, comb and shower cap, toithbrush and toothpaste and hand soap these are replenished each day, also fresh towels.Hairdryer in all rooms, shaving mirror static in the bathroom is very handy. You can request a bath mat from reception. Rooms cleaned daily, this also includes bathroom.
Food in the dining area was excellent, we were half board so breakfast and evening meal. They provide an exceptional selection of options from fresh fruit and cereal, all fresh juices, full english breakfast, healthy options for diabetics, hot drinks etc.You really cannot go wrong in terms of choice. Evening meal options are likewise in terms of option there is the option of fish, chicken and beef or pork each night.Always an option of potatoes either boiled or mash, vegetables can be hit and miss some night however if you are open minded you can not go wrong. Also each night a Chef special is on offer either a carvery, stir fry, fajitas that are prepared to your liking.
Entertainment every evening until 3am, varies each night, from tribute acts singers and comedy we enjoyed the hillarious 'Chrissy Rock'. Entertainment is in the Music room bar near the dining hall. It is very trendy and decorated to a good standard, air con is exceptional especially when busy.Daily the advertisment is placed on a board outside the bar and on the entrance of the hotel.
Pool area is adequate size for the size of the hotel in my opinion. I read reviews before coming that the pool area was small not adequate however from my experience this was not the case. Each day there were always sunbeds or chairs to use especially around the pool, also along the walkway. Best time is after lunch when the sun is directly over the hotel it is a nice little sun trap. Parasols also dotted within the area and can be moved as on castors. Towels are avaliable on request for a small fee daily. Staff ask you not to use the towels provided from the rooms. Toilet facilities are directly near the pool, also a telephone to contact the bar for drinks and snacks to be brought outside via waiters. Front seatimg bar area is a sun trap.large screen tv. Waiter service. Music throughout the day. You can order drinks and snacks. I like that public can use also I feel the Riviera beach hotel is very worthy of the four star rating, all staff work extremely hard to provide the best service possible to you. Our experience and opinion of them is that they are friendly and informative without being overbearing. You are greeted with a smile, the hospitality staff speak exceptional english, however maid/housekeeping rather less. If you are savvy hpwever and speak a little spanish you are able to get by. PROS: all round excellent hotel.Worth booking to try for yourself. Would book again. CONS: On arrival a quick walk round by welcoming staff of the facilities would have...
Read moreThis hotel is fabulous, in every way. It’s spotlessly clean everywhere, the rooms are cleaned every day and the beds made. |Reception staff are super friendly and helpful, a lovely young man checked us in at 1.30 in the morning when we were tired and fed up, he was lovely, and helped us check in quickly and easily, he also came up to our room with 2 bags of food for us, with bread, pate, tuna, crisps, fruit and water in, which I thought was a very nice touch.|You have to pay €20 for a safe for the week, but well worth the money for peace of mind.|The food is fantastic, always very tasty and hot. Aimed primarily at the English, but there are some dishes for more adventurous diners. I’m not adventurous, I like to know what I’m eating and for it to look like and taste like what it says it is…this hotel does that. I was convinced the chef must be English. |Breakfast was everything you could wish for, cereal, juice, fruit, yogurts, pastries, cold meats, toast, full English, omelettes and pancakes made to order, coffee and tea etc.|Evening meal there was so much choice, and I’ve stayed in many a Spanish hotel with buffet style meals and it’s crap, tastes of nothing and very poor choice, not here, there were at least 3 or 4 choices for me every night ( picky!) but always at least 6 or 7 choices, including soups, salads, pasta dishes.|The desserts were amazing, sometimes they can look good and taste of nothing, but these looked and tasted amazing. One night there was the chocolate fountain, I was in heaven! |ALL staff are super friendly and happy to help, they will have a joke with you, and the waiters and waitresses work non stop to keep tables clear.|My only gripe is breakfast is 8-10 am, I’m lazy when on holiday and don’t want to get up for breakfast by 10, so I’d like an extended breakfast service, but as they also do lunch I guess there are time restraints.||The pool area is shaded ( this time of year) until around 1,2 pm, then the sun goes by around 4.30, and the pool is cold, and small, BUT because it’s adults only it doesn’t matter, there’s no screaming kids splashing around with huge inflatables,, you can relax fully by the pool and just have a quick dip to cool off.|Plenty of sun beds available , mostly in the shade but it’s still warm. |The bar at the front of the hotel was great, waiter service, good prices, nice snack menu, and they will serve you round the pool too.|I have really loved our stay here, our room was on the first floor as we requested a low floor room, we had a balcony that looked over the pool area of the ( huge) hotel next door and it was like watching my worst nightmare! Toooo many people, kids, etc, whereas because the riviera is small, it’s perfect, and it’s quiet.|Our room was cleaned every day, the bathroom was a fab size, with a huge walk in shower.|The beds are 2 singles pushed together, but they are the comfiest beds with the comfiest pillows I’ve ever experienced in a hotel.|( see not wanting to get up for breakfast!)||I can honestly say there are no faults here, none. All the staff are lovely, they will chat and have a joke, there’s the beach and the strip within walking distance but you don’t get any noise. |You actually don’t need to leave the hotel, the drinks are plentiful and pretty cheap €10 For a bucket of 5 bottles of beer. |The cocktails are delicious, the riviera show bar is a good venue with some good acts on, we say Neil diamond and then a comedian. All free to watch as long as you buy drinks.||We are planning a return visit next year and I can’t wait, you don’t have to lift a finger, it’s clean, comfortable and you’re very well taken care of.|I give this hotel a...
Read moreMe and my Husband stayed here from the 7th June to the 14th June 2024, and we absolutely loved it. The staff were friendly, approachable and couldn't do enough for you. Any queries we had, they were quick to answer it. The situation of the hotel is perfect, just a few minutes walk from the main strip/beach, but far enough away that you can get a decent nights sleep without any interruption from the loud nightclubs. We were half board so had Breakfast and Dinner included, and we were pleasantly surprised when we tried the food. The food was fresh, hot and very juicy. Some buffet style services, you can find the food a little dry from the heat lamps, but NOT here! The selection of food at Breakfast and Dinner was outstanding, with plenty of variety. Each day had a different variety of food, with some firm favourites available every day. The hotel's pool area is fairly small, however we didn't struggle to get a sunbed. This may be different in the height of summer, but I can't comment on that. The hotel's terrace is a great place to sit, morning, noon or night for either a coffee, light bite or soft/alcoholic drink. The staff were attentive and friendly even though they could be very busy. There is table service on the terrace, but you can also go inside to order if you prefer. Again, the light bites on the terrace were so tasty, and fresh. On the terrace they also have acts who perform. There is a DJ who comes 4 nights a week, and then on other evenings there are some singers. We saw the DJ most nights she was playing, and saw a few of the other acts. We loved the atmosphere on the terrace, and spent a lot of time here. The hotel also has a music lounge downstairs, where they have different acts on each night of the week. We visited this a couple of times, and loved the atmosphere down there. Again the staff were friendly and attentive. We saw Ruby Rox (Drag Act) here one evening, and it's honestly one to go watch! To sum up, we absolutely loved it here, and we'll definitely be...
