Never like to give a bad review but really can’t recommend this hotel. Let’s just start by saying that if management were truly sorry they would have rectified these problems that have clearly been happening for years !Stayed for two nights and had zero sleep. Should have left after the first night. The room was in an outbuilding it is not on any of the photos on booking website all those rooms look lovely. The outbuilding is grotty and smells terribly of damp. The room is ridiculously hot and the air conditioning does not work ! It was 27 degrees outside and even hotter in the room. Had to sleep with window open so are covered in mosquito bites. Asked if we could have air con at reception told no (this is 4 star ?). Went and bought our own fan because hotel could not provide one ( 4 star laughable) this is not the cheapest place in Jerez either. Room was old tired cigarette burns in carpet. Room was incredibly dark impossible to see anything to get ready and had to use torch to get clothes from wardrobe. Soundproofing is terrible could hear snoring and talking from other rooms. You might reply that you comply with regulations I can only presume that these regulations are an incredibly low standard! Can’t tell you how depressing this place is would rather have stayed at home. It is not a spa hotel so that is false advertising the spa has been closed for years. View of building work from tiny window. Feel like I have been ripped off ! ||When you read trip advisor you think people are over exaggerating but please don’t book this. The owners are incredibly greedy cutting corners which means their guests are uncomfortable. The hotel is 20 years old and that’s how old the disgusting carpets are just think about that ! No doubt the manager will come on here with some excuse or pretend I haven’t even stayed here which seems a theme but looking back over the years it’s the same problems. ||Jerez is lovely and we walked past so many nicer hotels which were actually cheaper so please book one of those. I can only think the good reviews are paid to boost the rating. Won’t be returning or using any other soho hotels the company won’t get another penny of my money !||I think a one word sorry reply or an offer of a refund is the only reply I would like. Any other nonsense will just add...
Read moreWe’ve now stayed at Hotel Soho Boutique Jerez twice, once during Semana Santa and again in mid-June. Both visits have been excellent.||Our first stay was in one of the unique bodega rooms. It was beautifully designed and felt really special, a touch dark, perhaps, so some updated lighting would be a bonus, but it didn’t take away from the experience. On our second visit, we stayed in the main hotel building. The room was just as lovely as the previous room. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which was essential during the 36°C heat! The safe is also free, and the room has a mini bar and tea/coffee facilities in the room. ||Breakfast was okay overall. I didn’t love the pod coffee (just a personal preference), but there was a decent selection of cold meats, cheeses, fruit, bread, and a few hot items. On our second stay, we opted for room only and went out for breakfast instead.||The location is fantastic, just a flat 10-minute walk to the town centre. On-site parking is convenient (garage or outdoor options), and while it isn’t free, that’s to be expected. We had no trouble finding a spot.||There’s a small overground pool with sunbeds. We didn’t use it, but it looked very inviting. This isn’t a “pool holiday” kind of hotel, but it would be a great place to cool off after a day exploring Jerez, something I might try next time!||Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel. It’s in a great location, offers comfort and cleanliness, and has a touch of character that makes it memorable. We love Jerez, and for a city break, this is the perfect base....
Read moreDO NOT GO THERE . The pictures on line must be in the main hotel , we were in the annex .The room was so dark we had to use a torch! the annex is shabby and needs upgrading , we were in a superior ( the hotel said they upgraded us ) if this was an upgrade l shudder to think what the rest of the rooms were like .the rooms had an upstairs sitting room. This would have been condemned in uk under health and safety , the lighting as said so bad you would break your neck going up and down the stairs .We did not use the room as too dangerous. We had a leak in the ceiling water going straight on the bed , we had to change rooms with only 2 days left of our stay. They said they only had 1 room left but after complaining they had 3 , but they were all the same, ,the difference being the bathroom was smaller and was the double that we booked , utter rubbish. There is a construction site about 2 meters from the annex work started at 7.45 and was so loud gave us headaches . The pool and spa were closed ,when we booked on booking .com there was no mention of this , we now no why , the construction site is so close would have not been relaxing to say the least .We only stay at 4 star hotels, this was a 2 star. We also blame booking .com as obviously they don’t research the hotels they put online.Moving rooms is never a nice thing , but instead of down grading they should of upgraded us. The pictures of the rooms on Booking.com are not...
