We stayed in this hotel for a week during May 2024 ||It was not an enjoyable experience. ||I will start at the beginning. ||Day 1 no roll or olives offered with evening meal despite being included in board/dining arrangements. Her attitude was appalling. |We were told if we did not pay the bill it would put it on our account/hotel bill. |We were extremely upset by all these actions and staff behaviour. |Next day we spoke to a member of staff called "Director". She refused to accept what had happened saying she had discussed it with her staff. She made |worse a very unpleasant situation caused by her staff. |She then asked if we wanted the drinks removed from our bill and were told we could not charge anything to our room. ||By this time the potential for pleasant stay at the hotel had been completely soured. ||Generally we were disappointed with the evening meals that ranged from acceptable to dry to overcooked and just luke warm. We stayed at this hotel at the end of last month, and I was honestly quite shocked by the service — unfortunately, in a negative way.

First of all, the elevator felt like a trip back in time by about ten years. I’ve never seen such a slow elevator in my life.

Secondly, the staff was 50/50 in terms of friendliness. Some people were genuinely happy to see you, while others looked at you like you were the enemy — quite an odd contrast.

Thirdly, the massage prices… We decided to book a couple’s massage, and the price listed was €80 — just €80, with nowhere indicating that it was per person. Even the woman who handled the booking didn’t mention that the price was for one person. We only found out we had to pay €160 after the massage was over.

We then went to the reception to explain that this was a very unpleasant surprise for us, and another woman responded with, “I always tell people the price is per person.” We told her that a different staff member made our booking and suggested it would be much better if this was clearly written in the price list (which they did the next day — just with a marker). After we spoke to her, she mumbled something under her breath in Spanish, which I really don’t think was appropriate or professional.

As for the massage itself — it was actually quite good, and we have no complaints about the massage therapists.

The breakfast that was included with our stay was okay, but the food wasn’t always the freshest. We came at different times — both right at opening and around 9 a.m.

And one more thing about the restaurant downstairs — one evening we decided to have dinner there and chose a table by the hotel windows. When we tried to order food, we were simply told that they only serve drinks at those tables, which completely shocked me. The tables right next to us, on both the left and the right, had food on them, and literally a minute before, another identical table received food as well.

Unfortunately, we have no...

We stayed at Hotel Araxa in Palma for 6 nights and overall had a very good stay. The hotel has a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere and feels safe and comfortable from the moment you arrive. Our room was clean, tidy, and well maintained, with the bonus of good air conditioning that kept things cool even on the hottest days. It’s not overly modern or luxurious, but it has everything you need for a comfortable base in Palma. The staff were friendly and approachable, always willing to help with directions or recommendations, which we really appreciated. The pool and garden area are great features of the hotel — a quiet place to unwind after sightseeing or spending time in the city. We enjoyed sitting outside in the evenings as it has a calm, pleasant vibe. Location-wise, the hotel is in a quieter part of Palma but still close enough to walk or take a short ride into the city centre. This made it easy to explore while also having somewhere peaceful to come back to. For the price, we felt the hotel offered good value. Overall, a clean, safe, and comfortable stay that we would recommend to others.

We stayed in Araxa hotel for 5 nights at the end of August and it was a pleasant experience. The personnel, atmosphere and quality of a service was extremely high. Once we had lunch at the hotel restaurant, which was really tasty, we also used a SPA area (which costs only 15 euros per person) and enjoyed a lot. The swimming pool area is small, but clean and relaxing. The only disadvantage we found, is that the rooms are a bit old (we had a ventilator on the ceiling which was missing one screw, so we did not use it) and the walls and doors are not sound proof. But the service is like in a 5-star hotel, so definitely recommended for someone who’s looking for a relaxing and peaceful place.

We really liked this hotel! It's set away from the busy centre, and not too far from the waterfront. We chose to walk from the centre of town but there a bus route which runs pretty much right past it. It's not glitzy and new but I actually like that about it. There's a sense of authenticity and ownership that you often don't get from chain hotels. The pool is excellent with shade offered by mature trees in the beautiful garden, with excellent bar service. We didn't eat here but there are plenty of smaller, local places to eat and drink which were very good and inexpensive.
