Once a year our work group goes somewhere around the world and spend couple of days eating, drinking and enjoying the culture. This time our destination was Palma and this was one of the restaurants we wanted to experience. Because of our large group size we should have picked from couple pre selected menu options but i send email to them asking if we could use normal menu. They agreed if we select all the foods in advance and send order to them. This was actually amazingly good service and i have to say, that was best move for all!
When we finally entered the restaurant, well dressed and mannered staff was waiting and everything was already set up beautifully. Only thing that we needed to choose on that point was what to drink so we could immediately enjoy the evening and not spending 20 mins to select foods. And cause i sent the food order email with our names included, when food started to pour in from the kitchen they just said our name and right food was delivered for right person. Very well organised and handled big group situation!
Well then the interesting stuff! Dining area and toilets were clean and decor was smart. Food were really well made from starters to dessert and ingredients seemed to be truly fresh and seasonal. Plating was thought trough and service worked like a charm. As a fine dining experience prices were really reasonable especially compared the quality of the ingredients.
But as a fine dining experience i have to be strict on this review. Everything was up to par except on the main course was missing seasoning. Ingredients were great but all tasted a bit bland and no salt. If it would have been only my main course i would have let it slide and give 5 stars but more than half of our group said the same thing. And people had different main courses so maybe it is just their thing to leave seasoning for the customer. Well anyway experience was great and worth of...
Read moreOutstanding restaurant. It was so good we booked a second time, our final evening in Palma. We were a party of 7.
We were given a warm welcome on arrival by Claude. We chose to sit inside away from traffic noise. Everything was explained to us that we needed to know. The menu is not too large therefore it makes it a bit easier to choose. All tastes are well catered for. The food is delicious, especially the Strawberry Gazpacho starter. We all had this when we returned for our final evening in Palma. Everyone was very pleased with their choice of dish from the menu. A great idea is that for some dishes you can have a half portion. Excellent if you don't have a big appetite or you want to have all 3 courses, which we all had on our last evening.
The waiters are delightful, very friendly and like to have a chat with you. Nothing is a problem. There is a lovely, calm atmosphere inside the restaurant which has quite a modern decor. The rest room was spotlessly clean.
Our choice of Rose wine was lovely and very reasonably priced. There is a wide choice of drinks both alcoholic and non alcoholic.
We all highly recommend this wonderful, friendly, family...
Read moreMy friend and I went yesterday evening unannounced, after a fairly long journey. It was allround an amazing experience. The place is minimalistic, jazz classics were playing softly in the background, the staff was very kind and professional, with a particular attention to detail and timing. They were also very patient with our fairly bad spanish! We ordered a local wine, Acopinyat, which was a marvelous surprise, with a sweet-round bouquet (although I'm not an expert) and they brought us olives and aioli with bread for starters. I've never tasted such sweet olives in my life! We ordered the cheese nuggets with marmelade, the cod (highly recommended) and the scallops, then were too full for a dessert. Everything was actually incredibly delicious! We were amazed by the beautifully balanced flavours and by the composition of the plates. Worth...
