La Pergola — Restaurant in Palma

This is a gem of a place. My partner and I recently visited for the second time whilst staying in a nearby hotel, two years after our first visit. It was so good the first time that we knew we had to go back and it hasn’t changed.

The atmosphere is superb and the food outstanding. The tapas portions are very generous and the pinchos are a great option if you want to try more dishes or aren’t quite as hungry. The pricing is great too compared to restaurants in central Palma.

It does get very busy in the evenings and the service was a little slow during our recent visit, but this certainly isn’t due to a lack of effort from the staff. We sat inside on this occasion near the bar and the view of the open kitchen was a great bonus.

A quiet little place providing both interior and exterior seating options. It is always crowded due to the name that it has built for itself. I promise you that you would not be disappointed if you visit this place. I would recommend that one should make a prior reservation as they go full all the time. But if you are a smaller group of 2 or 3 you can definitely try your luck out! Coming to the food, the sangria was just out of the world, the patatas bravas has the right amount of spicy and the tanginess from the sour cream. The Pintxos were great as well. They serve food after 7.30 PM and until then they dont take any order. I felt like competing with other clients in orde to order some tapas. I don't understand why they dont take an order from the clients who agree to be served after 7.30 PM, and then serve these people as soon as the food is ready. The servis was taking ages as well. They could employ an extra person if it is always so busy. The staff was so much in a hurry and quite rude at some point. She wasn't even looking is in the eyes and I was getting stressed to talk to this young lady when I wanted to order. I wouldn't go there again.
