Nest Style Santiago — Hotel in Santiago de Compostela

Yes - the hotel is one of smallest I ever seen. |Yes, it's noisy. |Yes, you can see some items dated. |I have seen more expensive (much more) hotels with smaller rooms, more noisy and in worse condition.|Yes. It has some limitations: there is no kitchen, no bar, no other amenities. Because of lack of the kitchen, breakfast is buffet only with no warm food. But everything is fresh i tasty. Don't expect any other meals though. |Staff is friendly, nice and helpful. Location is excellent - close to public transport, close to old town, but not too close. Shops just outside and plenty of restaurants around.|I would definitively use them again.||Just one small thing: while wifi signal is decent, they should think of upgrading their internet connection, offered speeds would be sufficient in 2005, not in 2023. We visited in January and we got good value for the price we paid (about 45 eur/ night). Great location - 10 mins walk from the train station as well as from the old town. Room is bit old school and does have "thin walls"/ you will hear other guests if they are little bit more loud. Fortunately our neighbours were only suring the evening, in the late evening and night it was quiet. Room is very clean and spacious. Hotel has 24 hrs front desk and secured luggage storage. It offers complimentary tea and coffee in the front desk area as well as pastries and fruits and fruit infused water. Much appreciated.

The only downside really that you should be careful of is the super slippery floor in the front desk area when it rains. Hotel should do a better job warning about it to prevent accidents...

BEDBUGS. INSECTOS DE LA CAMA. CHINCHES. Whatever way you want to say it, I received them from this hotel and had terrible bites across my arms, legs, and neck for several weeks afterward. How do I know it was bedbugs? I saw the telltale signs of them on the bed the morning after I woke up, and went to a doctor who confirmed it.

I had to put all my bags and clothes in plastic bags for a month, and had to deal with itchy red spots for a week. Please, please save yourself the trouble and headache and do not stay here. Heaven forbid you don't notice and then bring an infestation home. It's not worth taking a gamble on the off chance you won't get them--if one bed in the hotel has them, the whole place must.
