I experienced EXCEPTIONAL customer service at this location. I never leave reviews, but it didn’t feel right not to in this case. I had quite a few baggage hiccups along the Camino, and so I ended up sending my things ahead in a bag to this hotel. I sent another box through the Correos company (who sent it to the wrong location). The women at the front desk helped me try to track down my things for around 30 min, going out of their way to call the company for me, research tracking numbers, and direct to me to other places in Compostela I was looking for. The next day, I ended up having to leave my bags behind while I flew to another country and decided to have my bags picked up at Hotel Hórreos. I later found out that the delivery company had very strict requirements about liquids, aerosols, and labeling. Jessica went out of her way to help me make sure everything was in order, keeping me updated with texts and videos along the way. She could have denied my requests, but instead she provided some of the kindest, most thorough customer service I have experienced. I don’t know what I would have done without her help. I highly recommend Hotel Hórreo and think that whatever the women at the front desk are being paid, it should...
Read moreI spent three nights here and I enjoyed my stay. As other reviewers have mentioned, it's got a great location both for transportation and the city. The bus from the airport stops at Plaza de Galicia and so does bus #5 to the bus station (but at different spots in the plaza) I got a big room with twin beds even though I booked a single room. There was a bath tub, a large apartment type closet and had large windows. Unfortunately, Horreo can be noisy and the windows are not insulated, ||||The reception employees are friendly and helpful, and this afternoon I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who is a warm person.||||Since Plaza de Galicia is a hub, there are also grocery stores, clothing and shoe stores nearby. And the hotel is not even 5 minutes from the entrance to the historical centre. ||||Although the hotel has basic amenities, I liked it very much. It's clean, it's simple and served my needs well. Also, as a single female traveller, I found the area safe at night - I felt generally...
Read moreI was injured on the camino and decided to move forward to Santiago and leave early. I booked this hotel through booking.com. I figured based on the pictures, location and price that it would be a lovely place. I was charged €247 for a single room, one person staying. It was easy to find and well located. When I arrived the staff were super nice and got me into my room early and were very helpful. That was where the joy ended! The room was clean and the bed was ok. The wifi wouldnt connect in my room unless i stood at the end of the bed near the door. The TV didnt work and every time one of the rooms above flushed the toilet or used any water it sounded like the water was passing through my room as the pipes were clearly not noise insulated. The furniture was tired and the rooms so poorly soundproofed that I could hear the conversation in the room above mine, in detail! This room wouldnt have been bad for €90, i had much better hotels along the camino for much less money! I...
