I just returned from my trip and wanted to make sure to write a review right away. Initially when I was planning on visiting Sevilla, I wanted an older hotel that I felt would have more character, because I wanted the full true Spain experience, but I ended up choosing this hotel as it looked beautiful and was in a great location. I am so incredibly happy that I did.
As others have mentioned, this location can't be beat. Not only is it right in the heart of everything, with plenty of food choices, and stores surrounding it; but it also is on a pedestrian only street which turned out to be a huge plus. I had a city view room and was nervous about noise as I'm a light sleeper but because of no traffic, it was so quiet after about 11pm. I even left the window open twice for some cooler air.
Another very big perk for us, was the food. We expected to go out more to restaurants but I have an injury so by early evening, I was often too exhausted to venture out anymore and we also found most of the non tapas restaurants really needed advanced reservations which was hard for us to commit to, not knowing how I'd feel. I figured we'd have subpar food options but I was wrong. We loved everything so much that we ate lunch or dinner at the hotel probably 4 times I think.
Lastly, I want to call out the staff. We visited other cities before Sevilla and the service here was by far the best. Everyone was so welcoming, so helpful, and even got to know us in only 5 days. We knew their names, they knew us, we had plenty of rooftop laughs especially. Honestly, it felt a lot like they were a family just working together to make everything great, than your typical hotel staff. I never saw an employee look like they didn't want to be there and most of the staff that we interacted with, seemed to do multiple jobs and just bounced around where help was needed. People who were at the front desk one night, might be helping at breakfast in the morning for example. But to see everyone loving their job, was so refreshing. One of the nights, there was music on the roof and two of the employees (who were our favorites đ) even took a brief moment to dance with people.

Read moreMy family of 5 adults stayed at the Casa de la Plata for 2 nights. We booked a junior suite for my wife and I and a triple room for my adult sons. We loved the hotel. The rooms were spacious and were quite comfortable. The bathrooms were nice, well-lit and quite functional - we had a double shower in our suite, with good water pressure, and the toilet had a built-in bidet. Our suite had a great view of the street in front of the hotel with a domed cathedral visible. Breakfast was excellent. There is a very good buffet but you can also order a la carte items (like omelettes or pancakes) to go along with that. And I wish I remember the name of the front desk employee who checked us in but he was amazing! (Shame on me for not writing his name down). He was incredibly friendly, helpful and quite funny (and his English was pretty much perfect). He recommended how we could maximize our time in Seville, and also told us that Seville was where tapas was essentially invented and then recommended several restaurants. When we told him we were going to his favorite tapas place (La Bodega de La Alfalfa) he guided us on what to specifically order, and he certainly led us well! ||The hotel location, as noted, is ideal. Itâs two blocks away from the Setas, in the heart of the old city, amidst great food, great shopping, and only a 10-15 minute walk away from the Seville cathedral, Alcazar, and the gorgeous Plaza de Espana. The hotel also has a small rooftop swimming pool and a large deck area where people were sunning themselves while enjoying drinks from the rooftop bar.||Note that most cars / taxis canât drive to the hotel so if you are ordering a car you need to walk a couple of block to/from the pickup location. There is a taxi stand at the Setas which we found was our best option for getting a cab when...
