BEST restaurants 👇🏼 🍽️We spent few days eating our way through Sevilla, here are some of our favorites:   📍 Islamorada Tapas Bar –AMAZING!! 📍 Moya Brunch 📍 Paco Pepe Bar 📍 Bodega dos de Mayo 📍 Bodeguita Romero 📍 Artefacto Brasas Bar 📍 Mercado de Triana 📍 Donaire Azabache 📍 Bar El Comercio – best churros! 📍 Señora Pan 📍 Petra   ✋Honest opinion- I would skip El Rinconcillo, a very popular and the oldest tapas bar in Sevilla. The décor was cool, but that’s where it stopped for us, the food and the service were not our favorite  📌 Save for your next visit ❓Is Sevilla on your list?   ➡️ Follow for more tips @travelswithmr   #spain #seville #sevilla #sevillefood #goodfood #traveltip

I went to visit El Comercio since I had read they do the best churros in Seville. They did not disappoint. It is not a new modern tourist churro place but a proper, established Spanish bar with reasonable Spanish prices. The churros were crunchy on the outside and softer on the inside, clearly not machine made by the way they were cut. The chocolate was hot and not too sweet. The coffee and orange juice were nice as well. To be honest, even the Torre Giralda tissues were good! Coming from the UK where they are often so thin you need three of them, these are big and thick and remove any oil residue from the churros easily. I also ordered an extra portion of churros and chocolate for takeaway and they come in a nice pack with a special place for the chocolate pot

Came for the churros and hot chocolate and wasnt disappointed! The place is very popular so i believe it would be full all the time. I went a bit before 9am on a Monday and it was already full. Not only tourists go there though. I spotted many locals having breakfast and chatting away inside. If you just want a takeaway, you can visit the window in the front. But if you wanna dine in, go inside and make eye contact w the staff and tell them the number in your group (at least that what i did lol) and waited patiently. Once the table is free, they will seat you. The churros is crispy on the outside, a bit oily but quite light and on the salty side but it balanced perfectly with the sweetness (not too sweet though) and thickness of the hot chocolate.

TL;DR Went in for hot chocolate & churros. Received all that with a side of physical abuse.

First off, the food is fine - I had the chocolate and churros and while it wasn't bad, it's nothing to write home about.

BUT the service is another story. I was at the bar, and initially the quick service there left a good first impression. Then I went to the bathroom and as I was walking back to the bar, one of the waiters who was serving the back dining room bumped into me. Mind you, he bumped into my back so I didn't even know he was there. He spilled HOT coffee all over my back and shoes, and what came next wasn't an apology. He took both of his hands and SHOVED me hard. I was absolutely appalled and disgusted by this vile behavior. One: this is restaurant - spillage and broken glasses happen. Two: this is an accident - I get that you are frustrated but that is no excuse to put your hands on a customer. I have never in my life encountered such atrocious behavior from a hospitality worker, let alone another human being. I was so shocked I didn't know how to react besides just walking away from the situation in that moment.

I'm seeing other comments mentioning potential racism, so I will note that I'm a Korean woman. Maybe that also played a factor in how this gremlin of a man acted.

So you've been warned - if you want to drink mediocre hot chocolate in a dirty establishment where an angry little Spanish man can physically attack you at any moment - this is the...

Our experience was abruptly and disappointingly cut short at the door due to the conduct of a front-line staff member named Teresa. From the outset, Teresa displayed unprofessional and dismissive behavior, including eye-rolling and a condescending attitude that suggested a clear bias toward customers of different racial or ethnic backgrounds.

It was immediately evident that she was neither trained in basic customer service nor prepared to interact respectfully with international visitors. Additionally, she spoke only Spanish, which presents a significant communication barrier in a destination that caters to global tourism. Individuals with such limited capacity for customer interaction should not be placed in front-line roles; doing so reflects a failure in staffing and management decisions.

We attempted to escalate our concerns to the manager, but unfortunately, the manager was also unable to communicate in any language other than Spanish. This made addressing the issue difficult, and we had to rely on a bystander to assist with translation—an unacceptable situation for any hospitality business serving a diverse clientele.

As a result of this interaction, we never even made it inside to evaluate the food or ambiance, as the service was effectively denied at the door. For an establishment in a tourist area, this level of service and lack of inclusivity is not only disappointing but entirely...

Bland churros with a side of verbal abuse!

We came here based on all of the brilliant reviews but definitely wouldn't return. We waited in the churro takeaway queue for 10 minutes, which didn't move, before deciding to go inside to eat instead as we thought it would be quicker. There was no one queueing to be seated, no one greeting customers to seat them, and plenty of empty tables so we seated ourselves and waited to be served. The waiter however seemed to just be completely ignoring us, serving other customers who had arrived after us. After trying to get his attention multiple times (about 20 minutes later!) he came to our table and started shouting loudly at us in Spanish. We couldn't understand him, so asked him (in Spanish) to repeat it in English and he just continued furiously shouting in Spanish and stormed off. Really we should have left at that point because we'd done absolutely nothing to warrant being screamed at. We stayed and eventually ordered some churros but they were unflavoured so quite bland, and without the chocolate they wouldn't be very nice at all. Overall I wouldn't recommend them, I'm sure there are plenty other establishments in Seville who offer better churros with much better service. Not sure how they have so many...
