Zios Pasta & Pizza Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Stockholm

So let's be all straight and clear here, apart from the name this restaurant has nothing Italian. I spoke to the chef and waiting staff (both Indian) and they admitted it is not Italian recipes. The chef said he worked for some time in Italy but other than that he offered a carbonara with cream! Parmesan instead of pecorino romano and normal bacon instead of guanciale. So I just passed and took one plate of pasta with chicken, which was not so bad, generous portion and the pasta not over cooked. Tables outside are comfy (if weather permits) as inside is too stuffy, smelly and warm due to the proximity of the kitchen. The best Italian food that I have had outside of Rome. The gentleman that served us isn't afraid of a challenge.

We over-heard other guests request for an item not on the menu and he took it on without worry. Do not pass this place without going inside!

This is a hidden Gem. Some may think this is not central. It is a 15 min walk from the centralstation. Worth it. Definitely. Homemade pasta, explained and presented by the owner. Cozy atmosphere, good drink selection, great antipasta and huge pasta dishes. Luckily we have to walk back to the hotel.
