This hotel has a good location with a metro station 2 min. away wich we didn't need to use because its only a 10 min. walk to the main streets in the city center. We stayed in Rex Petit where the rooms are on -1 floor (the basement) and they are not very spacious so it can get claustrophobic if you are a couple staying there for a long period. In our case this was not a problem because we stay out all day during our visit. But it's a good economic option to stay in Stockholm, if you get the room with a good price booking in advance. The breakfast was included in our booking and it was very good, you have a great variety of food but we missed some warm bread or a toaster to make a toast. You have coffee and tea 24h available for free at the reception wich is really nice with the cold weather.. The room and the hotel in general was very clean and cosy. We would recomend they would connect the air vent in the bathroom with the lights because it was working non stop making a draft in the room and an annoing noise all night, but it was not a big issue for us.

Tiny room without the window but still enough space for people who want to go sightseeing and come back afternoon/evening for a sleep. I slept on the lower bed which was quite wide (but a bit too soft). Upper bed was not prepared but it's not a problem. My friend also said sometimes it was "windy" upstairs. I might have heard some wind whooshing but didn't feel it. Bathroom - small, for one person or half of them even :). Breakfast - ok for me, standard buffet food. Free coffee and tea 24h. Summing up, you get what you pay for. It is nice budget hotel in very good location - close to everything.

We stayed here 17th - 18th May. The rooms were quite small, but super ok for a 2-star hotel. The hotel was even welcoming for Swifties! The staff was super nice, especially the new trainee who welcomed us to the hotel! The breakfast has a good selection of food. As a person who usually stays at 4 or 5 star hotels I would say this should be 3 star minimum. I would say that this hotel is as good as a 4 star one I have stayed in Stockholm. The location is super good as well!

Rex Petit is a good idea: a budget-friendly set of small basement rooms in an otherwise proper hotel, that you can easily find as a separate listing. The location is excellent and the building is quite nice.

The rooms are cabins, so very cramped and obviously without windows in the basement. They're not very comfortable and not very tidy/fresh. The beds have the bouncy, springy kind of mattress that might be rough for someone with a bad back, and the ventilation is menacingly loud. Combined with thin doors that allow noise from the hallways to be heard loud and clear, this made for a very bad night's sleep. Also, we had a bunk-bed room booked for two, but only the lower bed was made.

The breakfast is alright - an average, no-surprises, not-too-large buffet - except they overcooked the boiled eggs and mixed up the baskets for the hard boiled and (not-so) soft boiled. The issue here, though, is that the charming serving area is underdimensioned and crowded, and an hour into serving guests were starting to form lines to have somewhere to sit. I assume in the summer the add outdoor seating.

One final issue we experienced. In the booking process we could notify of arrival until midnight, which was confirmed by e-mail (and check-in hours are until 00:00), but when we arrived there was no staff on site. Instead there's a routine to go to the hotel across the street to check in. This information could very easily have been provided ahead of time.

There are some few other equally budget-friendly hotels nearby that I'd recommend...
