Too cool for school - having been Swiss for almost 20 years I was surprised to see how absolutely discriminatory and how much snickering went on behind my back no matter how actually pleasant I was to everyone working there and have been it was a little shocking!
To make a a customer feel so uncomfortable. It was a shocking and less than expected hidden kind of discrimination based either on my immutable characteristics the fact that my Swiss German is developing and apparently they didn't appreciate my French despite it being a national language of this country. Even though this is my my country as much as theirs I hold this with passport but I also became Swiss for ideological reasons the fact that we have a direct democracy and yet these people who I thought were nice and liberal and laid back with their nice and liberal laid-back cuisine are actually poking fun at people when they come in there. The blank uncomfortable smiles that were delivered to me I found to be extraordinarily disappointing and frankly shocking.
It's not the food that all boycott. is the behavior of the owner and his employees that I never noticed before.
So if you want some nice food but don't mind being quietly and secretly made fun of behind your back by the employees and their owner feel free enjoy yourself.
Not to mention that you're paying a pretty heavy premium for the food and to be made of fun of is behind your back is not the...
Read moreI used to love going to this cafe to do a bit of work while enjoying a cup of coffee and a meal. Until the recent incident. I was sitting at the top floor of the cafe near the buffet. After an hour, an employee came up to me and asked me to move to another part of the cafe, because laptops are not allowed in the part where I was sitting. Mind you, the section where he asked me to move is located near the bathroom and the kids section, and has really uncomfortable chairs. I think it's obvious why screaming kids, people going back and forth to the bathroom and uncomfortable seats are not the best environment if you want to get couple hours of work done. I have been going here for months and I've never had issues with laptops before. Is it some new policy? I did not find any such information in the cafe. If it is, Tibits should really reconsider it, because from what I've witnessed the majority of your clients are people with laptops. Or you should least make a more comfortable section for them. I don't see why I should be treated differently just because I came with a laptop, I pay the same money for my meal and beverage as any other client. I am very...
Read moreI am writing this review as I witnessed the worst ever interaction between a tibits server and a customer. I hope actions will be taken on tibits’ side. I was sitting at my table, very close to the counter, when I saw a lady approaching the clerk at the counter very kindly to ask information about the food. The restaurant was empty, so I and the other few people there could hear everything. The customer had luggage with her, and it must have been her first time at tibits, because she asked for a ham sandwich. The clerk, a young woman in her early 20s, replied loudly that there wasn’t such a thing there, without telling the woman that tibits is a vegetarian restaurant. The woman asked for alternatives, as she thought that there would have been something else with meat, and the clerk, rudely and loudly replied “it won’t harm you to try something vegetarian!”. The woman left, shily visibly embarrassed, shamed by the clerk for not knowing that tibits was a vegetarian restaurant. How could she possibly know?? This is absolutely unacceptable customer service. I...
