Booked for 4 nites for a twin room. Got upgraded to another room type with better natural light and space. Appreciated that. Also vouchers of coldspring fish eating dead skin and 10 mins shoulder massage were provided.||Room was really super big with all amenities and capsule coffee machine. Good quality flip flop slippers can be taken away. However, as the room was so big, I would assume more tables to put things on. There were a sofa for two and one small table only.||The private hotspring and shower area was super big too. ||Things are generally clean.||Staff members were welcoming and very pleasant. There r complimentary coffee and candies in common area near the lobby.||The reception location is super strange. One needs to take a lift up to a certain floor, walk out to an open area to cross over to another entrance. Though from the outside of the main complex u know the hotel's there but u need to walk around the complex in order to find the lift.||Breakfast was included and we found it nice for the first day which was nicely prepared sandwich plus buffet salad. But then the same breakfast for the second day. For the third day we had buffet breakfast which was good. For the fourth day the breakfast was supposed to be sandwich again. We explained our situation and asked the staff if they could arrange another type of breakfast and she explained to us that buffet breakfast would only be prepared with a certain no. of guests in the hotel and that she could not have the breakfast changed. I was actually a little bit shocked at first when she refused to arrange other food for us as we didn't ask for specific food we just wanted to skip sandwich. But then we still accepted sandwich. I think she actually knew what to do. After some time she came back to us n confirmed what we had for our first three days, we told her and then she discussed with the kitchen staff and she offered fried rice for us. I was very happy she made this offer, though eating fried rice as breakfast was not our usual practice. She constantly came to ask for our comments about the fried rice n stuff. Looked like she's not familiar of taking care of guests but she did all that's needed.||There was always a white long leg bird near the coldspring fish eating dead skin area beside the breakfast restaurant. Do check out there if u pass by.||Location is not bad. Walk up a little bit uphill to get to the hotel from just some mins of the train station and free mini bus if u use your easycard. On the other side its the street for shopping and eating, also just some mins walk.||Remember to switch on the room cleaning light if u would need to or they wont touch ur room. The reception may remind n...
Read moreWe paid 8000 for 2 bed room for two adults and two kids, and I doubt we will ever be back. First, the good things - the room was large, with a huge soaking tub, the bed was pretty comfortable. Unfortunately that's pretty much the end of the positives. The room was on the shabby side, with peeling paint, stains in the flooring, and an overall lack of regular maintenance. Tub took forever to fill since water pressure did not seem adequate, even with two faucets. Toilet and shower areas smelled strongly of urine, shower holder was broken. No wardrobe and not that many electrical plugs. What other reviews say about poor sound insulation is spot on... we were disturbed both through the ceiling and the wall. Compared to this area, what we paid is not super expensive, but there is definitely better value to be found in Jiaoxi at this price point. As with many of these hotels in the area, seems that it was much nicer when it was first built (which is when all the pictures were taken) , but everything has received little or no care or...
Read moreThe room seems like an “addon” as the location is very odd. You’ll have to go through an emergency stairwell to get to the entrance. The room itself looks more like a storage convert than a standard suite. I even wonder why there is another heavy door within the room...why the double security? Could it be that the emergency stairwell is connected to the parking complex below and anyone can get to your door without restrictions? Yeah I think so! It is nothing like the other rooms you see on the pictures. The windows in the room are tiny and the floors are in very poor shape. There are even tapes slapped on the flooring tiles to keep them from popping up. Although the room seems cheap but I rather spend the same amount on a well lit and not so confining room in a B&B as there are plenty of good options in Yilan. Do not bet your luck on this one. At least call the hotel staff to confirm if youare staying in other...
