We booked a family room which was a loft type setting on the second floor. I would say the room is very compact for a 42sqm and there wasn’t much area to sit and chill as the sofa only sat one for a room set for 4 persons. It was clean and sufficient. The landing on way to the room had a musky smell and it was humid so was surprised the air con wasn’t turn on higher. The bathroom is pretty small and we only had a small extendable mirror to use and the onsen was quite small for this room I think. The roof top hot spring was good and big to compensate for the small one in the room. The pool and jacuzzi’s were great and my toddler loved it because weather wasn’t hot enough for the pool. The breakfast was sufficient and the dinner was ok. We were their first customers for their soft opening. Seafood and the pork hot pot was good. However, was curious why the table next to us got a hot pot each and we had to share between two? Also I notice their meat size plates were twice the size of ours ?! Maybe they knew somebody or they were staff, but we were the only two tables in the evening. The staff were polite and helpful, especially when we notified front desk about our screaming neighbours, who were probably drunk and making horrendous noise all through the night. I would suggest that this hotel add a little attentive touches to leave a more memorable experience. For example, considering it’s a hot spring hotel, supply robes for their guests, add a little soft music in the front lounge because on entry the atmosphere was little dull and dark suggest a change of staff uniform, as white work shirts and black trousers are very outdated now. Need a little more charm and thoughtfulness like some of the other 4/5 star hotels spring hotels we stayed at in Jiaoxi, and we come once a month to this area. There is a middle aged gentleman who walks around all day and night also wearing a white shirt and black trousers . Maybe he’s the manager or the GM, but he needs to smile a little , because he looks a little gloomy. Maybe I’m wrong . Overall ok experience. Found a used face mask in the jacuzzi which was little off putting. Also, dinner, clams had too much sand in them, and some of the seafood were still frozen. Soup base was nice. It was my wife’s birthday but we didn’t say anything . Normally other hotels notice this on check in and say happy birthday and give a little gift as a token of congratulations. I would just say lacks that extra...
Read moreI was disappointed with my stay at this 4-star hotel. While the room was spacious, the amenities were lacking—only a small bottle of shampoo and body wash were provided, and there was no toothpaste or toothbrush. The bathroom had only one railing outside the shower door, which could hold no more than two towels. The other hook was awkwardly located beside the toilet. Additionally, the hot spring tub emitted a loud whistling noise when draining.
The check-in staff (with dark-colored hair tied in a low ponytail) was unhelpful when I asked about the nearest laundromat. She was unsure and simply suggested I use Google Maps—was this her first time being asked such a question?
The room was not cleaned during my stay, and only fresh towels and bottled water were placed on the table. When I contacted guest services to inquire about housekeeping, I was asked if I have pressed the make up room button, when I mentioned yes, the staff told me that their standard procedure is to only provide water and towels. I was asked if I wanted the bed sheets changed, and was told that they will give me a call back after they checked if housekeeping was available, but I never received the call. Well, I supposed its lesson learnt that better check on housekeeping definition with hotels the next time before booking any hotels abroad since there may be varying housekeeping standards across hotels.
Location wise is great because near to alot or food places...
Read moreThe room we booked was a loft style room. The room itself is very compact , so there wasn’t any area to actually sit and relax sadly. The bathroom was very tight and the onsen itself wasn’t very big but sufficient. However, there is an open hot spring on the roof top. The swimming pool was good as well as was the good size jacuzzis which my toddler loved. Breakfast had good selection. Dinner was very quiet and heard we were their first customers on their soft opening. The food was good overall. The location is good as it’s smack bang in the middle of town with lots of tourist wondering around. I think this hotel just lacks that extra thoughtful touch for their clients , eg. Robes, little welcome notes which some of the other 4 star hot spring hotels nearby do pay attention to. The walk wall to the room had a musky odour but the staff were curious and helpful, especially when next room were making noises up until late ! I would suggest a change of uniform for the stay because they all seem to wear a white work shirt and black trousers which is so eighties! Also, there is a middle age gentlemen I saw walking around all day and night, usually eating at the restaurant and sitting at the front lounge with his laptop working. I’m wondering if he’s the Manager/ GM, because if he is , I would suggest he smile a little because he did seem very grumpy and miserable . I...
