Visited on a Friday during lunch hour. I was quickly brought to my seat despite queuing for around 15 mins.
The menu was simple: pick either pork or/and chicken rice and choices of sides for a set. The portion was surprisingly smaller than expected, and was rather oily too. The sides such as dried tofu, broccoli and cabbage were all marinated and processed. So I could hardly taste any freshness from them. I ordered their signature chicken and braised pork rice: it was okay but nothing really outstanding about it. The soup was most disappointing as it felt more like MSG water.
Overall, I felt like I could either buy all the food from the market as they were readily processed, or I could cook it myself. They were simple dishes which I didn’t think worth such a price (around NT$200...
Read moreThe chicken is good but the amoumt of chicken in a set is small.
Because they changed the chicken rice into a set now, when you order 1 set you get small amount of chicken and 3 sides for you to choose and an egg. It's probably a logistic problem, due to the low supply of high quality chicken. Before the change, chicken rice would sold out so early. The restaurant was left with nothing to do for the rest of the day, so they force all these other stuff in their customers so they wouldn't want to order another one.
But the best part is the chicken, why would you want to go to a chicken focused restaurant and get NOT CHICKEN. I'm fine with 1 set of side dishes but I'm not paying for 2 sets just to get a normal portion of chicken and be left with all the stuff...
Read moreI’ve come here since I was a kid. You were able to order however you like in the past, but now ordering a combo is compulsory if you dine in. You can pay extra money to order a black tea (not included in the combo) or more foods. I paid 45 more dollars to eat 1 extras bowl of chicken rice because it was their specialty and never disappointed. The one made here has the best taste among all the others. The fried egg wasn’t well-done but still delicious. The 3 side dishes I chose were 2 tempuras and 1 dried tofu because most of them included vegetables such as onions etc. Tempuras were awesome, sweet and soft. The dried tofus were also tender and nicely made. Overall, rapid efficiency, cheap and delicious foods, so it’s a...
