Salmon & Roe Volcano/Deluxe Rice Bowl (Donburi) (market price, $590 as of 17/12/2024): This was the most authentic and freshest salmon rice bowl (donburi) I had ever tried. The rice went so delicious with the raw egg, salmon and its roe. Salmon lover should definitely try this sumptuous bowl at least for once. Moreover, there were also some tuna and shrimp roe on the top. However, do not pour the raw egg on the top of the tuna, otherwise it might be too full. There will be a hole surrounded by salmon for you to pour onto.
White Grape Smoothie ($60): It tasted flavourful, icy, crunchy, and had fleshy texture.
Furthermore, the Coke/Sprite costs $30 and the Ramune drink costs $60. There’s also a self service area that you can get barley tea (room temperature) and miso soup (it was one of the tastiest).
In conclusion, the decor is colourful, traditional and well designed with Japanese style. This is a paradise for sashimi donburi fans and you could get addicted to their dishes. In addition, I have also been to the other branch near Guanghua Digital Plaza for a few times, but I’ll be back for this donburi more often. The service is decent and the price depends on what you want to eat. It’s quite near the MRT Songjiang Nanjing Station and if you are looking for the restaurant, there are stairs downwards to the restaurant (B1F) inside the main entrance of the building where there are menus and a lift. Overall, it’s definitely a 10 out of 10!
FYI, you scan the QR code to place an order. Besides, the minimum charge is $200, the maximum time of dining is 70 minutes, the 10% service charge is included in your bill...
Read moreFirst thing, this restaurant is in the basement. The Google map is incorrect. You need to walk across the street and look for the stairs that goes upstairs and downstairs. The downstairs you will see the restaurant. The food they serve are typical of other sushi restaurant. As to taste, You could taste the freshness of the fish especially the salmon. They also serve other things like大閘蟹. Typically from China. I have to say their jumbo size shrimp tastes really good. The only knock on food is that you don't get to select individual fish that you like to eat, everything comes in a combination bowl or a dish. Only few items that comes individually. Another thing is that they have unlimited miso soup which is really good because they throw all the trimmings from the fish and shrimp into the soup and make the soup really good. Their service is non-existent. Basically they just give you the dish that you order and that's about it everything else you have to get up and get it yourself including the miso soup. Another thing which make people who is handicap is that they only have stairs going down to the basement. They do have an elevator but they put all their stuff in front of the elevator so it's...
Read moreVery fresh and tasty sashimi don at a good price, that's why we decided to visit again. However, this time the booking experience was extremely terrible! We booked a table at 12:30, arrived at 12:40 and was told that our booking was cancelled since we were 10 min late, whereas usually restaurants in Taiwan hold your booking for at least 10-15 min and there was no mentioning of only hold the table for 5 min at booking confirmation page. They even asked me to reconfirm my booking the night before, which means I'm coming for sure. We got escorted to a bar table, and before we placed our order, I noticed a table just left, so I asked if we can move to the table seats. The staff told me no, as we were late and that empty table is for next customers (where there were no one in line at all). I told him we arrived first, why would they give the empty table to other customers instead? They told us to wait for a bit and finally agreed to let us move to the table, but once again telling us we were 5 min late?! They didn't even offer if we want a bar table or wait for another 10 min for a table seat at the reception, which is normal restaurant practice. This srvice level is completely not up to...
