Do not ever stay here in this hotel. I left it without staying even for several hours, as it is not suitable for living and dangerous for health.
I booked deluxe double room, more expensive one, and bigger, but I was provided small, dirty room with molds all around instead, and without any explanations, plus very dirty, with molds all around, without towels, only paper towels, the furniture is like 40-50 years old, air-conditioning is not working, it is not adjustable, but centralized for whole building, and it is permanently blowing the cold air into the room. Outside on the street is much warmer than inside the room, hence I couldn't stay inside the room longer than 30 minutes.
The fridge is dirty, was never cleaned for several years, dangerous to store your food there.
The molds are in the room and in the bathroom, very dangerous for health, the floor looks like not cleaned for years, the ceiling, walls and the bathtub are full of molds. The hotel staff attitude is very rude. Refused to clean the room and to substitute the room, stating "we don't have another room", despite I booked more expensive one and bigger with more comfort. And I needed to fight for refunds, I even went to the police department and police came to the hotel, because this room is dangerous for health to stay in and the hotel manager refused to provide just hotel service as must be in civilized way. After stating and providing the pictures the room is dirty and with molds, the hotel manager rudely said me verbally and literally, quoting him: "this is your problem", and later messaged me in rude manner, quoting and pasting here his original text: 也許五星級飯店比較適合您的需求 (maybe the 5 star hotel would be better for you).
Also, after stating the room is wrong and dirty with molds, he messaged me in additional text, quoting: 不會再接待您,請您去其他您滿意的旅館 (I will not receive you again, please go to other hotels that you are satisfied with) Nonsense. And definitely the most negative example for any kind of hospitality in this country. Such hotels with such rude staff...
Read moreStay here for 5 nights. Read some reviews in Google after I book via other platform and got quite worried.
I arrived at 7pm and one uncle was at the counter and he was expecting me. I asked him about the bad reviews and voiced my concern. He assured me that the rooms are ok.
I was informed that I booked an eco room, which meant that I will have no room service and no change of towels. I was giving 2 cotton face towels and 2 disposable bath towels.
The hallways are dimly lit. The water cooler is at the stairwell.
Room is generally clean and spacious. The room is dated with 80s look. Bed is clean with 2 pillows and an extra one in the wardrobe. Wardrobe smell murky but after leaving it open for a while, the wardrobe has not more old wood smell. Aircon is a standalone unit and I can adjust the aircon. Aircon is cold but has a small buzzing sound. There is even a standing fan.
The fridge smells really bad like it hasn't been cleaned. But I am ok with that as there is a 7-11 right next door. I told the frontdesk about it but I wasn't sure if it was fixed as I did not open after that.
The bathroom is pink. Clean toilet with a bathtub. Hotwater is consistent. Ceiling is mouldy. Otherwise generally quite clean. I am ok with the disposable bath towels which I used for a few rounds - quality is surprisingly very good.
Room sound proofing is not good, I can hear the neigbours when they start talking late into the night.
Generally an okay no frills hotel. The location is excellent and and the size of the room is big compared to the newer hotels nearby that is like a pigeon hole.
I do not mind staying there but maybe it is me just getting a decent room.
End of stay, I left at 6am and I threw the key into the deposit...
Read moreAs ours was a long trip, we did most bookings way in advance. Most hotels open for reservation only 3 months before check in so we went ahead to book with this one simply using line app. |Upon checking in, we were first horrified to find a lot of pubic hair on the bed which showed that the hotel did not change the sheets or clean up the room for the next guest. The room was very run down with old and dirty furniture. Only when we tried turning on the aircon unsuccessfully than we found out from the spooky old lady staff at the counter that the control was spoilt. She told us to use the standing fan which obviously had not been cleaned for ages judging from the amount of dirt collected on the blades. There was a roll of toilet paper in the bathroom plus another roll next to the bed, 2 toothbrushes and towels and nothing else, not even tissue paper. |I felt so depressed that I wanted to shorten the trip and get the next available flight out of taipei. |As it was already 7pm, we decided to get dinner thereafter spent the next 2 hours plying the streets of taipei looking for alternative accomodation. |We were very lucky to finally find one which allowed us to stay 8 nights. We checked out of new may flower hotel as swiftly as we could and fled for a much safer place down the street. |This lesson had taught us to read more reviews in future and not book something out of...
