Read moreFirst, I book this capsule room for a day earlier from Agoda, but the counter lady can’t find my reservation until they get me a hand-write list to do some hand-made checkin. The public space in the 2nd floor are under construction since last September, so most of the public space can not be use now. It’s reasonable that some interior has to be renewed. However, they should tell the booking website (Agoda, booking. etc)what’s happening in this hostel. Or, provide some compensation due to the inconvenience . However, I can’t get the point that they didn’t provide any compensation. Still more, friends are not allowed to take into the public space of the hostel just in the 1st floor for more than 15 minutes.I can’t get the point why the counter lady has to get my friends and I out of the public space although there are just 2~3 people in the 1st floor public space behind the bar. Never seen a youth hostel like this before, and I certainly won’t come again...
Read moreVery comfortable and nice toilets/showers. You really won't check in before 3pm, you'll have to sit and wait despite the bed being empty. If you can avoid using their laundry facilities I'd strongly recommend it, they charge for both washing and drying (50 dollars each plus 10 for detergent - most places in Taiwan just charge for drying) and the dryer will not even come close to drying anything. My microfibre towel dries with a gust of wind but after 50 minutes it was still wet. There is no heat in the dryer at all, literally. So you'll either end up feeding more 50s in and waiting for tiiime or laying it all out to dry on your bed whilst you're out and about. Great location near Main...
