First of all, I would like to mention that most of the comment of this hotel is misleading. As I know, there are two oxygen hotel in the same road, the one with higher recommendation should be at section 100 instead of section 1. The address of the hotel in trip advisor do not match with its map. I am giving the comment of the oxygen hotel Taipei main station which located at 5/F, section 1, Chong ching south road. ||I travel to Taiwan in Dec 2018. I booked this hotel as it is highly recommended in the trip advisor. However, I am so disappointed. ||First, the hotel is difficult to find as the hotel doesn’t have a eye catching sign for tourist to locate it. I passed the building so many times while finding the hotel to check in. The hotel sharing a building with other hotels while others have a big sign. ||Second, the hotel is disgusting. I have never visit a hotel that the toilet paper are required to throw into the rubbish bin due to the toilet has poor performance. You can imagine the smile of used toilet paper in your room for a whole day long until they help you to clean your room. ||Third, the air conditioner was so noisy. It directly affect the sleeping conditions. ||Fourth, there is no dining area of the hotel. The hotel share a dining area with other hotels in other building. This mean you have to go out and walk for some time to find another hotel to have your meal. The food of the dining area is poor. I prefer not to have food there. ||However, for the room, it is actually the room with yellow light and two bed just like the photo they used in the trip advisor. This at least meet the expectations of the room. ||P.s. I noticed that the hotel has comment with some of the comment with low scores. They usually mentioned that they are not the hotel of the fifth floor one. If so, then why not just notice the trip advisor to amend it? Or you are looking to someone to book this poor hotel due to the misleading information?||I don’t know why English don’t count a word. So let me type some Chinese here....
Read moreI have been to Taiwan many times over the past 10 years and must say that this one is best for convenience. It's only 5 minutes walk to the Express Rail to airport; very important when you are dragging luggage with a family. Another 5 minutes to central MRT station. It rains intermittently in Taipei cos of the sea winds, but not so bad as the underground mall exit Z8 is just around the corner from hotel.Shin Kong mitsukoshi is at Z4. Also loads of small cafes around the hotels offering so many varieties generally between NTD 99-160 per meal per person.||No complains about the hotel except we have to walk about 5 minutes to breakfast at Hedo Hotel, around the next corner. Should be their affiliate. Quite clean and spacious. Food and fruit choices quite decent and loads of different drinks and coffees. Bed and bathroom very comfy cos they just renovated. All fixtures in good working condition. Actually have to raise the air con temp cos it became very cold. v.fast. Also the free wifi was v.fast. My 3 teen adult children had really enjoyed their spacious room that could sleep 5 easily. Very well ventilated and the staff extremely helpful. Maybe it's because they have only 12 rooms on the one floor to manage.||If you are the picky type who expects the full hotel type facilities/ conveniences, then you'd better find another place and...
Read moreI chose Oxygen as a place to rest during my journey in Taipei. The location is perfect, it is near Taipei Main Station, and you just need about 10-15 minutes walking to travel some special landmarks in Taipei, for example the Taipei's Presidential Palace, Xi Men Ting night market, and of course on your road to these destinations, there are lots of shops to go shopping and food stalls where you can taste a wide range of Taipei food. Besides to the perfect location, Oxygen also offers a 4-star good service, with clean bathroom, a nice tiny space (I hope it would be better if the bed was bigger), and no any problem with roommates; there is also friendly and helpful staff (they can speak English!). Especially, the price is quite cheap for the good service (I remember that I just paid around NT 600 for 2 nights at Oxygen). ||||To sum up, for me, a good choice if you want to stay in Taipei on your solo trip. Highly...
