Rainbow Hotel — Hotel in Taipei

This is the worst experience that we have ever had. The reception was extremely rude to us and demanded for our passports in a harsh tone. We spent 4 nights in that atrocious hotel and the bedsheets were not changed throughout the stay. The bedsheets were yellowish and there were dirty stains on them. The hygiene and cleanliness was absolutely disgusting. The floor was not cleaned and the carpet was old and dusty. The walls were full of molds and we felt very itchy throughout the stay. We gave feedback to the reception about the cleanliness of the room but she ignored us and continued with her work. Service was really bad. The toilet was very disgusting. How are you going to expect us standing on a bathtub to shower. The toilet was run down and the maintenance looked like it was from the 1980s. The toilet bowl was clogged and we needed to ask the receptionist to help us in the middle of the night. He was very unwilling to help us and even used a harsh tone on us. He emphasized not to throw the TOILET paper into the TOILET BOWL. It really made me doubt myself. Overall, the room was very dirty and unpleasant to stay. I would never recommend others to stay in this hotel. There are lots of cheaper alternatives in the heart...

Booked 2 rooms which were serviceably clean, however the regular maintenance & room assistant's service could be better. 5 out of 7 days, i had a dirty towel replace my previous one & 6 out of 7 days, 1 of the rooms had a faint bad lingering odour which I couldn't find the source of.

Rooms, though very small, are thankfully are pretty well insulated for sound. You'll not hear anything on the streets & mostly not hear people shuffling outside your room. However, you'll still hear noise if some moron disciplines their toddler at 1am in the morning.

Staff were professionally friendly for the most part, though I have had better service from equivalently priced or cheaper hotels in Taipei.

Location is this hotel's piece de resistance. It is smack bang in the middle of the shopping district. Food, bags, clothes, toys, gundam, collector items, branded items, all available within walking distance if you know where to look.

Small side note, this hotel is within reach of at least 1 Pokestop from the room at a times.. So if lazing in the room playing Pokémon Go, this is the...

The ugliest experience ever.. Wasted money on rooms that are not livable, moldy rooms and dirty. Sheets and pillow were super itchy and dirty with stains and fluid on them eww! Bathroom not clean, walked in with some leftover tissue in the toilets, missing a towel. The walls near the bed were stained with bodily fluids.. Omg!! Nastyyy.

Small room.. Bad service Asked if we could try another rooms got no response..

Also the ac were not working properly, there's no cold air but the reception insist that's working although we already have it turned on for a couple of hours.. No new rooms or fixing it just insist it's normal and bring us a fan instead!!

We decided to f.. K it all and change the hotel in the middle of the night..

Be advised.. Don't come here, there's better place out there, some places are cheaper and are much better.. because it's clean hahaha

Only the location is situated on ximending.. Which was really unnecessary.. There's many great hotel within walking distance.. 150m to 300m
