We spent here 3 days and we slept badly. The room is not 30 square meters like they said but maximum 20 square meters and this is very serious. Nevertheless, the worst thing is that air conditioner is directly above the bed so it blows right in your face and this makes really difficult to rest well. There are small windows that you can’t open because there are no nets. There are no support to open suitcases so you have to do it directly on the floor. The fridge makes a crazy noise so you have to switch it off. Regarding the owners, the husband is kind, but the wife can be somewhat odd: when we asked to move the bed because the air conditioner was above the bed and it annoyed us she got angry. One day at breakfast we didn’t eat mango because some birds had accidentally perched on it and the following day she didn’t bring it saying anything and we needed to ask for it. The husband runs a café and he makes really a good coffee and cappuccino but you need to pay for it and I guess the guests should have at least one coffee or cappuccino included in breakfast. The photos online are very well done and make the place seem much bigger than it really is, but in reality, breakfast is served in a parking lot. The positive thing is the facility is very clean with a daily cleaning, only the bathroom vent was dirty. We like hard mattress but this one was really a rock but they put a topper on...

I stayed at this hotel for one week in August.||||I don't have many complaints about the hotel itself, except for the fact that breakfast is not a buffet—you only get one dish, which you have to order—and they don't provide knives to spread butter on the small slices of bread.||||What really bothered me was the constant surveillance by the owners (a woman with her husband). They were always checking to see who I was bringing into my room.||||I was traveling alone but booked a double bed just in case I met someone—and I did. I met a girl on Tinder, and after spending an afternoon and evening together, I invited her to my room, where she slept. The next day, the wife confronted us, asking who the girl was, and insisted that all guests must be registered, or else they'd be asked to leave!||||I paid for a room for two people. I'm not engaging in anything illegal (I do not deal with prostitution); I was simply enjoying my time with a local woman. Why make my life difficult if I want to have some personal moments?||||In conclusion, if you're looking for PRIVACY and want to enjoy yourself, DON'T STAY HERE. Instead, go to a regular hotel with a proper reception, where you won't be interrogated about who...

Frankly baffled that this hotel has such good reviews. This was the only hotel we have ever gone to where we checked in and then checked out immediately. This hotel is an extremely far cry from the 3-star hotel it is advertised as. When we entered our room we laid down on the rock hard bed and the AC was blasting directly on us, but we couldn’t re-direct it. There was one tiny lamp five feet away from the bed. Then we took off the duvet and uncovered a bunch of black hairs and stains (we are blonde). We went downstairs to ask for another room and were told it’s sold out. It was pouring rain and 6Pm and we ended up having to book a completely different hotel last minute. The host was not apologetic at all about the unsanitary conditions in the bed, she just said she saw the maid change the bed. Now I am trying to get a refund but the hotel is refusing to refund us. On top of the issues above, the hotel is far from the cute photos online. The garden is actually a parking lot. It’s down an alley away from the street. I would stay away as far as possible from this place.

We loved staying at Gord Nuea Boutique House for 4 nights. The hotel was thoughtfully designed, peaceful, and quaint. The location is walking distance to markets and great restaurants in Old Quarter Chiang Mai. When I was looking for a hotel, I wanted a place that was centrally located, safe, clean, and quiet, which this hotel delivered. The room was cleaned each day with new towels and water bottles supplied. Mrs. Nom was a great hostess. She and her family were very kind and helpful. She helped us booked cabs for the airport and gave us recommendations. Also, the breakfast was delicious. We got to try something different from her breakfast menu each day. When we had an early outing, she packed a breakfast sandwich for us. I also got a Chai Latte from Pegasus Coffee(run by Mr. Nom), which was yummy - I could taste the spices! I wish I tried more of the drink menu - I guess I’ll have to visit Chiang Mai again! We would highly recommend this hotel to our friends who visit Chiang Mai! If you’re lucky, you might to see their bulldog Pocky play in the courtyard. 😊

Just stayed 5 nights. Great place! We wanted something close to everything yet not the noise and commotion of being in the thick of it all and this fit the bill. This was a great location as a jumping off point for organized tours as well as exploring on your own. We got breakfast included which was great. A couple days we had early early tours and the hostess packed us a sandwich to take :). Centrally located so you can walk anywhere in the old Town area. The atmosphere is zen and restful. I'm not sure young kids would be that entertained as there's not much for them. I would recommend! The one small negative is we came back to our room a few times and the AC was off. This was after the cleaning lady had been thru so either they have a centralized way to shut it off or someone came into the room. I know it wasn't shutting off on its own as it would run all night uninterrupted. I understand conserve energy but I feel funny about people coming in, if that's what they did, but I also don't like coming back to a very hot hot room on 99 degree days.
