We stayed for a week as part of our honeymoon trip to Thailand and had a largely positive experience. The location is good by the riverside and quite quiet it's also fairly easy to get to most places.
The staff here are all amazing and the hotel has some of the best hospitality I have ever encountered. They can't do enough to help you whatever your issue (and my wife had a few for them - she wants me to give a special shout to Arthur and Deayanna) and everyone always greets you when they pass you or when you walk through reception.
We found the mattress quite hard on our first night and the pillows too soft and didn't sleep particularly well. We mentioned this to the team and they sorted out a soft mattress topper and memory foam pilllows. We slept very well for the rest of our stay. If there is a problem they will sort it out for you.
We thought the place was beautifully kept and looked lovely but it is fairly small. The rooms all kind of overlook each other and down on to the main pool which did put me off taking a dip in the pool as it did feel a bit exposed. So just make sure you have your curtain closed when getting dressed.
The standard of food at breakfast was very good with great coffee and fresh juices and smoothies. The food options were varied enough that we didn't get bored even if we thought there were a few too many curry dishes for our Western palates first thing in the morning.
My wife didn't like the fact you couldn't smoke on the balcony or in the grounds and had to go to a designated smoking area by the riverside or out the front. As a non smoker this didn't bother me in the slightest but she thought this should have been made a bit clearer on the website.
Overall though it's a lovely little place that I would certainly recommend.
*A tip I would offer staying here is to download the 'Grab' app on your phone. It's similar to Uber and makes for a convenient way of booking taxis if you don't want to negotiate with the drivers outside. You can also order food from local restaurants and have it delivered to the front of the resort.
*We also spotted a local laundry close to the hotel called 'Uncle John's Laundry' who washed 50 baht per kilo which is much cheaper than the hotels service rather expensive laundry service. We ended up hand washing our stuff but this place has very...
Read moreMy husband and I stayed at Na Nirand for the final part of our honeymoon in Thailand, and it was hands down the best resort of our entire trip (after visiting Bangkok, Krabi, and Phuket). Leaving this resort brought me to tears—it was that incredible.
The staff here are phenomenal: sweet, attentive, and truly go above and beyond. A special shoutout to Baitong, who checked us in late at night and even helped us find a local pharmacy open at 5 a.m. to address a medical concern. His dedication and bright personality made such a difference. Talking to the staff was such a pleasant experience—they are all such sweet people. Additionally, the thoughtful touch of having staff check the room at checkout to ensure you don’t leave anything behind was something I’ve never experienced in my travels—it’s so considerate!
One of the most charming parts of our stay was the nightly snacks or desserts brought to our room, which added such a thoughtful touch. On the last night of our stay, they surprised us with a duffle bag—a gesture that made our departure even more bittersweet. We also attended their New Year’s Eve celebration dinner, which was phenomenal. It was incredibly well thought out and entertaining for all guests, making the night truly special.
The hotel itself is beautifully designed, from the natural wood to the carefully chosen textiles, and even the calming scent throughout the resort adds to its serene ambiance. If you love slow, peaceful mornings, the breakfast here is perfect. Every moment of our stay felt tranquil and luxurious.
A couple of notes to keep in mind: there is a bar across the river that plays music until midnight. Our room was close to the river, but the soundproofing was excellent and it didn’t bother us. If you’re sensitive to noise, you might want to request a room further from the river. Also, the sliding bathroom door in our room occasionally got stuck, but it was a minor issue that resolved itself with a little adjustment.
Overall, Na Nirand gave us an unforgettable experience, and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommend this resort for anyone looking for a magical, peaceful escape...
Read more10/10 or higher! We loved our stay at Na Nirand Romantic Boutique Resort! I've never reviewed any product or service on line before, so it says a lot that I'm writing this. My husband, two sons (ages 31 and 34) and I stayed in two rooms at the end of August and all agreed it was an exceptional experience. Location is perfect: a short walk from downtown and great night markets, but far enough to feel like you’re in a private tropical oasis. We wished we’d had more time to enjoy the beautiful tranquil grounds and inviting pool but our itinerary kept us so busy each day. The service was quite memorable; every day you’d come home to a unique gift left on your bed or desk (like a postcard you could leave with them to mail back home, a special delicious crispy rice or chocolate treat, aromatherapy in your room). Breakfast is exceptionally delicious and laid out beautifully, spread over several rooms/areas, indoor and outdoor, making it so charming. All the staff are so so kind and eager to help in any way possible. I need to call out one of the concierges, Beam, for going above and beyond to help me make our stay at the hotel; moreover in Thailand so memorable. I fell in love with the intoxicating scent of their aromatherapy (a mix of jasmine and peppermint essential oils). They must use a diffuser or aromatherapy oil burner all over, inside and outside, and by the end of the first day I was so smitten I knew I had to find a way to bring that scent home with us. Beam helped me purchase the oil from the supplier the hotel uses, and arranged for a Grab (like Uber) to deliver it to us at the hotel. Our time we limited because we were flying out early the next morning but she worked tirelessly to make it happen. She even paid for it herself since I didn’t have the right banking apps to pay. Of course I paid her back, but this felt like she was doing it out of genuine heartfelt kindness; that alone made the experience even more memorable than the aromatherapy oil itself, but I am so delighted I could bring back that intoxicating scent. I hope we can some day return to...
