TIME Riverfront Cuisine & Bar (Nanirand Hotel) — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

Here’s the thing…the location is stunning and the food and drinks were great (except that all the pastries melted in the heat). BUT…I booked afternoon tea several weeks ago for me and three friends to celebrate a special occasion. The tea is advertised and photographed as being in the glass house upstairs room. We dressed up for this special occasion. But when we arrived, we were told the glass house was closed since Songkran (before I booked) and were seated in a casual dining area with other patrons dressed in bathing suits. Then, the staff finally agreed to open the glass house room for us and turned on fans and the air, but the room never cooled down. It was cooler outside than in the room. They should have told me the glass house room was closed when I made the booking and I would’ve made other arrangements. Our hotel for three nights while traveling in Chiang Mai, Thailand. All of the staff are super friendly who gave above and beyond 110%service. This restaurant is where guests can come for breakfast lunch and dinner. Breakfast buffet is very good , a large varieties of items with a made to order egg and waffle station There are freshly squeezed juices, custom order coffee bar, pastries, cold cuts , Chinese ans Thai style food also on the buffet. After such a long time enjoying nice restaurants and establishments around, I finally had my first time to visit this restaurant. The food was quite an average quality, tastewise, given that it is a 5 star hotel. Platting was ok, especially for the price it offers compared to many places around. We asked to sit by the river but no river was in sight during our dinner due to lack of lighting to help us enjoy even a little bit of the river.
