How NOT to run a business...
The staff have been working there for years... yet they dont know what is Thai Tea or cappacino when you tell them in English You need to repeat yourself multiple times so they understand that you want a Cappacino, no effect at all to improve their english at all over many years.
The lady working there during the day during the day, she's always out of the coffeeshop talking to her friends outside, she obviously hates her job like all the other staff (besides the family that ownes it). The lady in the picture is either walking on the street talking with her friends, or sitting in the chair listening to music, completely oblivious to the customer's need.
Most of the time there's no toilet paper in the public bathroom, as the lady working there is too lazy to do maintenance service.
The business is run unprofessionally.. overbooking.. not finding bookings, miscommunication, overcharging is frequent.. I been sitting there working on my laptop and just watching the customers quitely laugh at the borderline horrible service they got, yet what makes it funny is that the people working there have no business sense what-so-ever.
Also another girl there was giving me dirty looks.. I dunno why.
When I was staying there the owners son, who was frequently working shifts there, didnt want to give me the extra key when I couldnt find mine, as I was interacting with the other guests and making friends, the staff starts gossiping about you quickly and bluntly with bad intentions.
Real Gheto place.. Real great example of how NOT to...

The chairs were in poor condition (dirty, stained, and literally falling apart) and the set up is a little off. The iced green tea had a weird after-taste. A guy who was sitting at the table working on a computer kept giving us dirty looks the entire time and when the owner briefly left, he threatened us (he claimed he was also closing the shop and kicked us out but he never identified himself as an employee. We left for our safety. When we later passed by the cafe, it was still open and people were inside). I would advise avoiding this place. As someone who lives in Thailand, I can definitely say that this a bottom of the barrel cafe. You can get better drinks and service from a street...
Read moreWe didn't stay in the hostel, have only experienced the cafe side but we love it! Fast WiFi, good food, good coffee! We enjoyed dinner and also breakfast at the cafe. Waffles with ice cream for my husband's dinner and I got the stir fried chicken with basil and fried egg - both were delicious. The Thai iced tea frappe was also nice - not super sweet. For breakfast, I got the American style breakfast and he got the waffles set. Mocha and iced latte were both really nice. Staff are very sweet. They also offer laundry services and we thought their prices were very reasonable and...
