Nice. The Interieur doesn’t make up with the quality of the cooking. The French owner personally gave me some recommendations about a wine I wanted to choose with my food. I have never seen such a choice of wine that can be ordered by the glass. (Wine lovers: go!) I had 3 different meals. Let’s say it was “Thai-fusion-food”. I enjoyed it. Not to spicy. Very well cooked. Bravo. I can’t afford to eat for that amount of money often- but as a food and vine lover I will come again.
I came again: I ordered 2 different dishes and tried a few wines before I decided for the cheapest one - because I liked it most: Wine: Cabernet-Merlot (Chile - see picture) Dish 1: Fried / breaded Squids in a basket. Good and fresh taste. Probably fried in Palm-oil. The sauce though was not really a pleasure. A little fatty but not much more taste than Mayonnaise with some garlic. That could improve (much). Dish 2: “Nya Yang” Australian Wagyy, cut into stripes, served with a spicy thai “sauce”. Ok..The meat had a good quality, but was served on a cold plate - so it was almost cold as well…- I could have lived with that. The waitress told me that “the sauce” would be something alike a thai sauce called “Naam Jim Djaeo”; something that can taste very good. To my disappointment it was only a mix of chili paste and oil. I couldn’t eat it. Just spicy, not any taste of herbs and other spices which would be in the fore mentioned sauce. Sorry I have to take away a star. You can do better - for these prices one can...
Read moreI really like their style. Great wines with a huge choice, tasty Italian dishes and fresh beer. Sit outside and you are in the middle of the bustling city of Bangkok in Soi 22. Watch the traffic, see the famous Marriott opposite and watch, how the massage girls try to lure in the clients....
I once complained in 2019 that the pizza dough is to hard and not so tasty. Then I was 3 years off the country due to the Covid story. They meanwhile changed the recipe of the pizza dough and every Italian guy is now satisfied, even the Swiss. But no matter what dish you order, the finish and the quality is great. My favorite is the Bruscetta and the Stroganoff noodles. My wife loves the fish and the salad....
They also enlarged the outside terrace. So it is really a great place to be there. We just had a nice birthday party with the singing waitress Crew.....
The French Farang boss is always around and checks the situation. So, the staff is very fast, friendly and attentive. They never walk with empty hands, clean everywhere and straighten up tables and chairs.
In the backyard, they have some parking spaces and in the evening you may even park in front of the bistro. Cosy chairs and benches with pillows. Smoking is allowed.
Enjoy, it's a nice and...
Read moreI wasn’t sure what to expect when I walked into Wine Depot Bistro, but I walked out already planning my next visit. The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful, lush greenery, warm lighting, and just the right background music that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a hidden gem in Europe.
The food? Delicious from start to finish. The highlight for me was the beef carpaccio – thinly sliced, melt-in-your-mouth tender, drizzled with olive oil, topped with arugula, capers, and shavings of real Parmesan. Every bite was a perfect balance of flavor and texture. Simple, elegant, and done right.
Service was friendly and smooth, and the wine list had some excellent options at fair prices. Whether you’re coming for brunch, lunch, or just wine and small plates, this spot delivers on both taste and vibe.
Highly recommended for anyone...
