Read moreI visited this place exactly a year ago and it was perfect and gave it 5 stars, now one star is even a bit too much for what it is.
First of all I selected my treatment and they were explaining it in detail, I thanked them and told them I have done it MANY times before but they stayed explaining like it was my first time which was very annoying after a long day. Then they did the same thing for the watermelon which honestly didn't need any explaining. Next, went to the room and they didn't have my size in their shirt/top although I am not that big so they just told me to keep my shirt own which took away from the experience. I usually wear a size L in tops. Then I asked them if they could turn on the heating in the bed/mat because last year it was on. At first they didn't understand although I was using very basic English and trying to explain with my hands and point. What they did is turn off the AC then I said turn it on, not only did they turn it on but for some reason they increased the fan and lowered the temp which was VERY annoying and the room felt cold and wasn't comfortable. I just decided to not ask anything else as this might get worse than it already is. The therapist started and I knew in less than a minute that she didn't know what she was doing, everywhere she touched was causing pain. All the points are clearly wrong. It wasn't about pressure. I asked her to stop then changed my therapist. My second therapist came and told me to turn over I explained and told her that the first one wasn't done she didn't understand and just did what she wanted. She only asked if I want her to foucs on my shoulders I said no. Then again she did what she wanted and for the next 20 mins she was ONLY doing my shoulders and it was hurting me even if the pressure is low. I stopped the treatment and left. I would not recommend this place if you have actually done a lot of massages in the past and have some experience. Also noticed that all the team has changed from reception...
Read moreWas able to make a reservation here through the Line app for later in the day for a two-hour deep tissue massage. The reservation was pretty easy to arrange and the associate who helped me through the app was great.
Their premises have a lot of trees and greenery that give a nice frontage to their spa and also some privacy from the street since the massage rooms have a lot of glass - at least mine did.
When I got in, they served me a small plate with a cold tea, some watermelon, and a wet towel. Their spa concierge explained the process with me and confirmed what I wanted to focus on. She mentioned that if I felt like the type of massage I selected wasn’t what was right for me, that I could even ask to switch during the massage to get different techniques. You can also select your preference for male or female therapist, but it depends who they have in that day.
They went through the different aromatic oils that they have and selected which one I wanted for the massage. Then they gave me some slippers and took away my shoes.
About five minutes later or so, they showed me to my massage room and the therapist washed my feet. I changed out of my clothes after and then started the massage. They provided some disposable underwear to wear during the massage.
The deep tissue/ sports massage was meant to have firm pressure, and the therapist did deliver that for sure. She used a lot of her elbows to focus on my selected areas. Despite this being a pretty high pressure massage, I felt relaxed and almost even dozed off at some points during the massage.
You are also able to take a shower if you like after.
Once you’re done with the massage, they take you to the lobby again and you get back into your shoes and they serve you a warm tea, some mango rice (rice was a bit dry but the mango was nice and ripe), and a hot towel for your neck.
The two hour deep tissue massage was 2100 baht, which is pretty great for what...
