Pros: -excellent daily cleaning -good location -everything seems new -fantastic shower
Cons: -they only accept on-site payment, you can book through agoda etc. but not pay on the website. somehow a $17 room becomes a $22 room. -located at the end of an alley of girly bars. i didn't hear anything, the hotel is cinderblock construction, but i didn't love walking through in the evenings -the windows only open a couple inches, so if someone in the room next door smokes, it gets gross in your room too -there is no wifi to speak of, it's for show only. it was one router per floor, and each floor has 8 rooms, and again, cinderblock construction, and i suspect the cheapest available package. i was about halfway down the hall and stayed for around 2 weeks. the wifi was consistently so slow i literally could not load the google search page on my computer, or instagram on my phone. i had to tether to my phone's data package 24/7, an unexpected expense and inconvenience given that i work online and have to video conference up to 12 hours per day sometimes. -the outside construction actually didn't bother me. but they also did extremely loud construction inside the hotel, and didn't warn the guests beforehand. i was in the middle of a client meeting that had to be cancelled because of how loud the construction was- i literally couldn't hear myself speak. the worst part was, a couple minutes after it began, i called down and asked them to make it stop for just 20 minutes so i could finish my meeting. they said they would . . . and didn't. 5 minutes later my colleagues gave up and cancelled, costing me money and causing embarrassment. i went into the hallway to see what was happening and caught the receptionist returning to the elevator. i asked if he had asked them to stop or not and he admitted he actually hadn't, but they only needed to work for 30 more minutes. I told him that was completely unacceptable and their thoughtlessness had cost me money, and left the hotel the next morning. The other cons are not great, but this was the straw that broke the camel's back.
TLDR; I wouldn't go back. I ended up staying another 6 weeks in Bangkok at a slightly cheaper hotel with functioning wifi, an equally good room and far...
Read moreThere's a Makro just down the road, a quick 2 minute walk away. There are restaurants and 7-11s and anything else you might need right around the corner too. Rooms are comfortable, staff is nice. As you might read in other comments, yes there is construction happening nearby but it was NOT loud at all. We stayed for 3 nights and one of the days we stayed in all day, and barely noticed it (only because we were trying to hear it too, due to the reviews we read about it being loud). Honestly, I think the people that complained likely have trouble sleeping with city sounds in general, it wasn't an issue. The lady that cleans the rooms is a gem- big smile, warm welcoming vibes, and gives the place a "family run" feeling. She also feeds the cats outside, such a kind heart. There are a lot of cats down that ally and you can smell cat pee as you walk down it, but that is such a little issue to us cat lovers, and not the hotel's fault. I saw some reviews saying the area was shady... Meh, there are bars everywhere in the city. It didn't make me uncomfortable to be strolling by them with my young kiddos, big deal. Everyone was friendly and not in a seedy way. I'd say the only valid inconvenience to it's location is the fact that the ally it is on is very skinny, so many full sized vehicles would be reluctant to drop you off at the door. We were rushing out hurrying to catch our plane out of town and we were running down the ally with our luggage because our taxi couldn't come down the ally. Oh well. But it's something to consider for someone with mobility issues.
Overall we had a great stay and everything was very clean and...

This is my fourth stay here. One of the main reasons we keep coming back is its location — it’s conveniently near Usman Thai Restaurant, which gives us the assurance that we can get halal food anytime we want.
I’ve stayed in both the triple room and the double room, but I actually prefer the triple room for its spaciousness, even though there are only two of us.
The front desk service has improved compared to my earlier visits, and I truly appreciate how well they maintain the property — the cleanliness is absolutely top-notch.
The location is excellent: tucked away in a quiet dead-end alley in Sukhumvit, near the Emsphere mall and within walking distance of Phrom Phong BTS station. It’s also surrounded by several 7-Elevens, a Macro food store, massage parlors, and plenty of eateries and bars.
The common area is spacious and perfect for relaxing or socializing with other guests. Basic kitchen appliances such as a microwave, toaster, kettle, and refrigerator are available for reheating food, though cooking is not allowed. Laundry and ironing facilities are also provided, but only in the common area.
My only minor complaint is the ironing setup. It would be great if the hotel provided an iron and ironing board in the rooms, as it’s a bit inconvenient to go downstairs every time I need to iron clothes.
Overall, for the price, this is a great place for a short stay in Bangkok — clean, convenient, and comfortable, with just a little room for...
