I wasn't particularly impressed by this restaurant the first time I went. Maybe it was too trendy for me.The moralizing part that comes with this fashionable lifestyle isn't really to my liking. I didn't want to read their story and the massive menu was just... I was tired, hungry and I just wanted vegetarian food, dassit.
The quinoa salad was such a disappointment. As much as I love quinoa, I find that cooking it is a real pain so I was excited to be able to have it. Only, there was so little of it and so much more of the chopped salad. And I love salads. I can't live without them, like. The mango milkshake was to die for, however, (OMG that coconut whipped cream on top) and the tofu satay wrap that I took away almost brought tears to my eyes.
I went back a couple of days later when I thought that I'd left my water bottle there and I just had to have the wrap and the milkshake. As it turns out they are both big enough to be a meal each. Having both brought so much joy still that this time I wasn't as annoyed with the 3% fee if you want to use your credit card for under 1,000 baht. I still think that a place such as this one should really do without such absurdities.
A few days later, I got LINE MAN to deliver me enough food for a couple of days (including that wrap and the milkshake, of course) but found the rest, notably the vegan spinach cheese bake, unpalatable.
And this is basically why I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. Some things are so tasty that just writing about them makes me realize another visit is due soon. Meanwhile, some of their dishes leave me completely cold. And although there is no way of knowing which, I've concluded that It is worth experimenting...Also there are lots of dishes I wish I could eat but could never find them in vegetarian form. Veganerie makes this possible and I loved the people working there.
Give the place a try and grab that bamboo straw to complete your portable cutlery set. I am thrilled with mine.

Read moreSo before I rip this place a new one in several ways I want to focus on the positive. The restaurant is clean and modern. It's set in upscale area. It be a great date spot. However it's also pretty casual atmosphere considering the sticker shock of prices. 250bhat to 350 or more. The backhouse staff looks professional and were always working hard. The front needs work. If your going for higher end you have to dot your I's and cross your t's. This place is no longer going for Thai laid back. Anyway more positives. The food is absolutely spot on and tasty. I've been to alot of vegan places and there doing a great job. Not just for Thailand but for world. However with exception of the smoothie I found the portions lacking in size and substance. For instance potatoes aren't expensive. For BBQ pulled pork fries, if your going cheap on portion size double the fries. Or the green curry absolutely amazing. But lacking enough of it. The roti that came with it was 4 triangle pieces. You could easily double that or add some rice, without adding much to your bottom line. The dishes I enjoyed on my last night in Bangkok and Thailand we're green curry with roti, followed by BBQ pulled pork fries, and dark chocolate smoothie. One last nite is the menu is very sweet desert oriented. So if you have a sweet tooth this...

I ordered a dark chocolate milkshake, pulled pork burger (mushroom), and fries.
total came up to 450 bhat, which for thailand is pretty pricey but taking the area into consideration it makes sense.
The fries were nice and crunchy and a good porion size, loved the mango dip that came with it.
The milkshake was heavenly, i cannot remember the last time i ever had a better one, it was rich and full of flavour, could taste the actual coco and not just loaded with sugar and sweetners.
The burger i was not really a fan of, the texture of the mushroom was good, however i was not sold on the flavour, i couldnt quite gather what it was but it didnt sit well with me, however they do have tabasco on all the tables so i masked the flavour with that.
There seems to be alot of dishes on the menu that have lots of potential, as this place was not cheap i couldnt afford to order a few things just to try out.
The service was excellent and the typical thai service with lots of smiles.
I recomend this place to vegans and meat eaters.
dont mind the late review, just typing up old reviews...
