So we come to rating these hotels. Found by the unbeatable price and the good reviews booked for one night. Good were: parking garage, bed, cleanliness, size of the suite. Breakfast buffet was nothing spectacular but good. So now to the disadvantages. The pool can only be climbed by a jump from the edge of the pool. Dramatic runs leaving the pool because there is no entry or exit help or stairs. So you should definitely be sporty and daring which the sharp-edged edge does not contribute to safety. In addition, tiles were redone, from the wellness area was quickly conjured up at least in the application of the hotel a children's pool, as the bubble lounge and the Jacuzzium area anyway did not work. TV in the rooms, two pieces, flatscreen, sizes vary. TV programs 6 of them 3 Thai TV stations, TV starts with Al Jazeera, so the Arab TV? Rest channels empty no reception of anything. Internet theme, now watch and read well! To get into the internet you just have to enter the username and password on an HTML page, so far - so good ... but then it starts. Suddenly no reception anymore and then constant crashes or the slowest Internet of all time. The worst was the knowledge after the trip home was found that a protocol on the side of the hotel to log in the network adapter has damaged, which means you also bring something from the holiday, but everyone would certainly like to do without, at least if the guest again with his PC wants to go to the Internet. After complaining was at the front desk friendly confirmed that have complained many guests, the owner (a Thai) but apparently not interested here to remedy. Well, maybe now something positive may change. A pool entry cost 2000thb and a satellite dish certainly not the world. In addition, a stable Internet connection is installed in the 21st century, if this is not possible for the person in charge to solve, then it must be replaced by skilled...
Read moreThe hotel has a great location and high volume of businesses around the premise area. However, I didn't have a nice experience. My first night was terrible. The pillows are rock hard, and the light in the bedroom projected right straight into my eyes in bed and didn't cover the corner where the mirror and working desk are. It was night when I arrived, so I requested the to change in the following morning. The reception told me that all the rooms are the same, and there're no other rooms available. I decided to leave and requested a refund, but the hotel said they can only refunded half of the price. It took all morning of talking back and forth, and not until 1 pm that I followed up and found out there's one room just checking out. They showed me the room, and it was better than the existing room. However, when I went to the reception they gave me the key to another room. It was confusing, and I had to talk to the staff again. The rest of the stay was fine except from a very loud road noise that came into the room as if there're no windows. Make sure you prepare to deal with these if you want to stay here or else I'd recommend to stay away...
Read moreThis is closer to a 2-star than a 3-star hotel in my opinion. I booked it on my air miles so didn't pay anything, but it was rated as 4 stars on the Asia Miles site which was very misleading.
Bad points Next to really noisy roads - they have done quite a job of insulating the bedroom with extra class and thick curtains but you still constantly hear traffic quite loudly. You wouldn't want to use the pool on the roof because it feels so polluted here. The gym also isn't in it's own room and so can't be air conditioned. Breakfast was poor. they had a 100-yen new year promotion but even so they were serving instant coffee inside a filter-coffee jug which was the only reason I went for it. Otherwise just sad looking bit of salad, toast, chicken/spam sausages and omlette.
Good points Staff were really friendly and helpful, room was clean, you can do your own washing as they have a washer/dryer downstairs. It's near to Icon Siam mall too and another smaller one with restaurants and currency exchange.
Basically I'd say ok for a couple of nights but you wouldn't want to stay here longer if you could...
