When I first tried the recommended fried oyster with egg n flour... I am already blown away as I haven’t tasted anything closed since my grandma passed away... it was exactly the same taste that she made. Oyster was fresh but flour was unique, part mushy part crispy... I also ordered their Tom yum seafood noodle... it was not overwhelming but as it went along, I felt that they actually made some effort to make it their very own style, not too spicy but fragrant... then I saw the must-try, seafood with egg and flour topped with mozzarella cheese... the combo... OMG... it’s was definitely worth a highlight... last but not least, what really went well was their dipping sauce for the fried dishes, which though taste familiar but yet is more refreshing and makes the fried dishes not too jalat... definitely worth a visit or a return though it’s really far...

Located in Charoen Nakhon, Heng Hoitod Chawlae is renowned for its authentic Thai cuisine. I had the pleasure of trying three delicious classic Thai street food dishes here, each leaving a lasting impression.
The Pad Thai might look simple, but it perfectly blends the flavors of each ingredient. The noodles are chewy and are accompanied by the aroma of eggs, fresh shrimp, and crunchy crushed peanuts. Every bite is full of layers of flavors. The seasoning isn't too overpowering; the balance of sweet and sour is just right, leaving a lingering taste that makes you crave more.
The Thai oyster omelette is quite different from the Taiwanese version. The exterior is crispy, while the inside is tender and juicy. The freshness of the oysters perfectly complements the rich flavor of the fried eggs, making it hard to stop after one bite. Paired with a special spicy sauce, the dish’s flavors are further enhanced. However, it can become a bit too rich towards the end, making it difficult to finish.
The last dish, another variation of Pad Thai, stands out with its contrast between the crispy outer layer and the soft noodles. Every bite offers a new surprise. The seasoning stays true to the traditional sweet and sour taste, but it is incredibly spicy—so much so that it gets spicier with each bite. I wouldn't recommend it to those who can't handle heat.
In conclusion, each dish at Heng Hoitod Chawlae is filled with surprises and satisfaction. For lovers of Thai cuisine, this is definitely a food destination...
Read moreAfter trying omelettes at several spots in Chinatown and reading the reviews here, I decided to give this place a shot. Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed. The omelette was excessively greasy, with what seemed like more breading and oil than actual filling. There was a distinct lack of balance, with the scant filling being overwhelmed by the oiliness. The flavors didn't quite come together as I had hoped, and the overall experience was underwhelming. I had high hopes based on other reviews, but this visit didn't meet my expectations, and I won't be returning for...
