BEST INDIAN FOOD - HOMEMADE KITCHEN — Restaurant in Khlong Ton Sai Subdistrict

Nice small location overlooking the street across from Senafest. Started out bad with little or no air conditioning. Asked to be moved to get cooler but all they did was offer to turn on fan. Ac was on 21 but it felt like 25-26. Seats at table were worn and need to be replaced. Not many customers. Napkins were thin and cheap. Why would you pay so much for so little.

Had only 2 main dishes and nan for 740 baht. It costs almost the same as Indian food for lunch in America but the Indian food in America comes with rice and riata a yogurt to dip your naan in. In America vegetarian dishes are cheaper than meet dishes. In America Indian food is cheaper than American food. Not in this restaurant. Not in BK.

Reviews said prices are cheap and reasonable. Not cheap in fact they are as high as any Indian restaurants near nana and ploenchit where I lived. I feel like they must have their friends and relatives make fake reviews.

Get to the food we ordered what I called tandoori fish. It was nice white fish without bones with a decent flavor and not spicy like we ordered it. The second dish was w hat I call sag paneer a creamy spinach with farmers cheese. Not as creamy and flavorful as ones I have eaten over the decades. Again not spicy as we requested. The naan was the most disappointing. Warm but not hot and thin and dry.

They tried to upsell me on drinks and desserts and offered to give me a take out menu without even asking me about the food. Why would I want to order delivery, it would definitely not be good. Owner did offer more naan but based upon the bad ac, worn chairs, and average portions and cheap napkins I’m sure he would have charged me.

Take my advice and go...

I was staying in U sabai hotel which is half a km from this place . Wanted to have Indian food ,luckily found this place . Felt really very very happy to have had my Lunch , dinner along with 2 times Tea over here .

The price was reasonable , Food quality & Taste was very nice . More Than all this , The hospitality of the manager Sahil was very good . Very Good person to interact with .

Though I have recommended some of the items but you can have all North Indian dishes over here . All are equally good .

You can also try Rogan Josh , Tandoori fish , Paneer Tikka .etc . Though they are situated on the main road , but they have a Parking as well for people coming in groups .

It's situated near the Traffic signal . Do come to get the Indian Hospitality at its best .

I will start with the positives: Food was nicely presented. Restaurant is placed in a pleasant area with lively surrounding bars. Unfortunately: our dishes were lacking in flavour. We love Indian food and were disappointed by our dishes, sweet lassi and naan. Service was lacklustre. Worst of all - we saw a rat poke it's head out from the ceiling twice. I really regret paying for this meal, not only because they have vermin running free there, but also because the price is too high given the quality of the food.. The following day I really did suffer with food poisoning - my husband was fine, however. I can't say it was their food for sure, but regardless, the rat show is enough to make me write this to warn...
