Our experience in early November was of a relatively small and quiet resort well away from the buzz and bar scene of Koh Lipe’s Walking Street. It was ideal for us as we really wanted somewhere peaceful to chill - if you’re looking for a social scene and people-watching you might feel you’re missing out. Having said that, nowhere is out of reach on Koh Lipe. We went by foot to Walking Street for lunch one day (15 minutes) and Sunrise Beach one night for dinner (25 minutes); alternatively you could order a tuk-tuk and be anywhere on the island in ten minutes.||The hotel has a private beach with some colourful fish to be seen when snorkelling at high tide. The restaurant has a limited menu but tasty food and lovely sunset views. The staff are friendly with some English. There is no concierge service as such, but you can book transport and days out. We took a private snorkelling tour by longboat right from the hotel beach, for 2000 Thai for a half day. ||As for accommodation, we enjoyed four nights in room 7 (“honeymoon villa”) which has the great advantage of having a clear view over the beach and sea to the islands beyond, morning sun on the private plunge pool, and not being overlooked by anyone else. Hotel runs a shuttle costing 100 BHT which is about £2 to take you to walking street, where you have lots of places to eat, shop, massages etc and access to other beaches.|5. Beautiful room with stunning views (we had beach front room)|6. Walking street has options for VEGAN and VEGGIE food.|7. Beautiful room and views||Neg:|1. Only Nestle cafe coffee, Hotel needs to invest in a proper coffee machine. We went into Walking street to get coffee after brekky. |2. If you have mobility issues, there are steps to get to your rooms, so not the best option. there is no lift.|3. The pools and private pools are are made from plastic - but dont worry you have the best warm sea at your finger tips!!!||This was not a negative for us, but brekky you have to choose from a set menu. its not a big buffet, but this helps with no wasting food, putting stuff on your plate you dont need.||ps: Now don't be put off by the dirt road, or the chickens outside the hotel, or even the beautiful stray dogs the hotel cares for. Read moreThis is an exceptional resort. It’s location is Beautiful with its own private beach and yet 5 min walk to the main beaches. The rooms are beautiful each with its own pool and terrace. The are meticulously cleaned daily. The breakfast is incredible, all eaten with a view of the ocean. Nam, the chef cooks local Thai dishes to a very high standard. there was also great choices for our 3 young children (8,7 and 3) …chips/burgers etc||We felt like royalty when we were there.
