Kioskino1st Lunch at Like h Lipe — Restaurant in Satun Province

Very unpleasant staff. We only stopped for a drink. Maybe what I write here is a bit intimate, but I want to warn other guests about rude behavior. I wanted to go to the toilet, but there was no toilet paper available, the light was off and they were very bad at closing the door. When I asked the elderly lady in the kitchen for toilet paper, she only gave me two small napkins. I just went to pee. I threw very little paper into the toilet, but I couldn't find a flusher, so I at least sprayed the toilet with a shower to clean it. After a while, an elderly lady from the kitchen came to the bar and shouted at me in front of all the guests that I shouldn't have thrown the paper in the toilet, and that she warned me about it, which I don't realize at all. My husband was in the mood for pasta, and during our beach walk, we stumbled across Kioskino.

And wow—what an experience!

He ordered the homemade pasta with Bolognese, and it completely exceeded his expectations. I chose the tuna salad, which came as a fresh and vibrant dish, served with delicious olive oil on the side. They also brought out their own bread, along with olive oil, salt, and pepper for the table—everything was absolutely perfect. To top it off, I had a glass of cold, crisp wine, which was just what I needed.

As we finished, we asked if they might have tiramisu, and to our delight, they had made some the day before.

We shared one tiramisu, paired with an espresso, and it was truly unforgettable.

We were so impressed that we’ve already reserved a table for the evening and pre-ordered two tiramisus!

Honestly what a let down. The place is probably one of the most expensive on the island. Food was terrible. Carbonara was a plate of pasta with scrambled eggs and undercooked bacon. Pizza was dry and bland. Fish was overcooked. Hope the food can improve because the location is nice and staff are friendly.

Edit: The owner replies to all constructive criticism with aggression and denial. Better to accept and thank those who write reviews for being honest and taking the time to let the owner and other potential guest know about their experiences, and then try to fix the things that aren't working in your favor. Others have said the same thing about pizza and carbonara as us. So why not fix it? Be responsible instead of in denial. Unfortunately, no one asked how our dinner was. We would have been honest...
