Our stay at The Cliff Lipe Resort in Ko Lipe was a wonderful blend of comfort, attentive service, and scenic tranquility. Nestled between two of the island’s most beautiful beaches, the resort provided a peaceful yet well-connected base for our family trip. We stayed in the 2-Bedroom Oceanview Suite, which offered both practical space and breathtaking views, making for a memorable experience. Firstly, the layout of the suite was well-suited for families or small groups. The accommodation featured two separate bedrooms, allowing for a degree of privacy that is often lacking in resort-style lodgings. However, it is important to note that the suite includes only one shared bathroom. While this setup may be manageable for a family, it could be slightly inconvenient for mixed-gender groups or for those who value more personal space when it comes to bathroom access. Secondly, the on-site restaurant was a highlight of our stay. The menu was varied and thoughtfully curated, with every dish we tried prepared with care and rich in flavor. More than just good food, the dining experience was elevated by the resort’s incredibly warm and accommodating staff. Whether it was providing recommendations, adjusting seating to fit our needs, or offering travel tips around the island, every interaction with the team was marked by genuine hospitality. Lastly, the location of the resort is uniquely positioned between two very different beach experiences. Directly in front of the resort lies a small, semi-private beach — a quiet spot perfect for swimming or simply relaxing in a hammock with the sound of the waves. However, due to the presence of sea urchins, the area may not be ideal for snorkeling. Fortunately, the resort also offers a hidden path leading down to Sunrise Beach (Daya Beach), one of Ko Lipe’s most famous and expansive stretches of sand. Though not clearly marked on Google Maps, the path is easily accessible and brings you to a breathtaking shoreline with wide white sands and panoramic island views. In conclusion, The Cliff Lipe Resort offers a charming balance of privacy, friendly service, and natural beauty. While the shared bathroom in the 2-Bedroom Suite may be a consideration for some travelers, the overall quality of the stay — from the accommodations and staff to the unique dual-beach access — makes this resort a standout choice for families and groups looking to unwind in one of Thailand’s most serene island settings.

Drawing from my recent visit to The Season restaurant at The Cliffe Lippe Resort, here are some practical insights to make the most of your dining experience: - **Awe-Inspiring Views**: The view from The Season is genuinely unmatched on the island. To snag the prime seats, consider making a reservation in advance. The panoramic view of the bay and the islands is worth it. - **Your Choice of Ambiance**: The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating. If you're there for sunset, outdoor seating is the way to go. Arrive early to secure a spot with the best view. - **Sunset Special**: I can't stress enough how wonderful it is during sunset hours. It's a popular time, so booking ahead is wise. Watching the sun sink below the horizon while dining here is a memory you won't forget. - **Consider the Premium Sunset Dinner**: If you're marking a special occasion or want to indulge, don't hesitate to explore the premium sunset dinner option. It's a delightful experience that adds a touch of luxury. - **Simplify with the Set Menu**: For those who prefer not to ponder over a menu, check out the set menu. It takes the guesswork out of ordering and ensures a satisfying meal. - **Culinary Variety**: The Season's menu offers a mix of Thai and Western cuisine. My advice? Try a bit of both to savor the culinary diversity. - **Premium Drinks**: Enhance your dining experience with premium alcoholic beverages. The cocktail selection is impressive, and you can enjoy a glass of wine that complements your meal. To discover more hidden gems and travel tips, follow Roaming Yana on socials. âĪïļðŸŒī

Superb! This is a wonderful place to observe Lipe sunset and enjoy dinner meal with the stunning sightseeings! We have booked a room with pool villa ocean view for 2 nights. The room is neat and clean with a private pool and pretty amenities. They provide such considerate items such as hand sanitisers and mosquito spray bottle, insect preventing lamp, espectially, the mask sheets after snockelling. They also have a private beach and small coral area. We really enjoy kayaking and paddling board at the sundown time. The lunch Thai set is also perfect! It comes with authentic Southern style. My friend really appreciate Yellow curry that serves with fresh barramundi. All ingredients are fresh and have bigger size than the meal in the Lipe walking street. Even it has higher price, but trust me, it's really worthy. However, the breakfast buffet is not much, but I think it's enough. They provide Western, Chinese and Thai meals. The Southern Kao Yum is the best. The barramundi congee is great as well. My friend ordered a hot Thai tea twice, she loves it. The staff is really nice and have perfer service minds. They keep asking us that are we okay with everything or not. They help us treating a first aid and provide helpful medicine. Overall is perfect! I can't find any complaints at all. Really apprieciate everthing and love the place and staff. If I have opportunities to visit Lipe again, The Cliff Lipe will be my choice for sure! Highly recommend!!!

I don't always take the time to write reviews for places but the exceptional nature of this resort compelled me to take the time to share the experience that my wife and I had here on our honeymoon.

First off, the location of this resort is ideal for staying on Koh Lipe. Most of the other resorts on the island are located either on Sunrise or Pattaya beach. Sunrise beach (while beautiful) is full of jellyfish and is a busy scene with tons of boats, bars, and people. Pattaya beach has no jellyfish but has more boats (as it is home to the piers that ferry people on/off the island) and at night it turns into a party scene (as it is connected to the Walking Street). We were so thankful that we chose to stay at The Cliff because it is easy to get everywhere from (only 2 min walk down road to Pattaya beach) but is up on a hill away from everything so you can enjoy tranquility when you want to retreat for the night.

The resort itself (as the name denotes) is set on a cliff with majestic views of the Sunset beach side of the island. The villa we stayed in was beautiful, and everything was incredibly clean and well-maintained. We really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast every morning on the restaurant deck, taking in the delicious food and stunning backdrop of crystal clear water and neighboring islands. The resort also has its own private beach, with everything you could possibly need - comfortable lounge chairs, an elevated deck with bean bags, a bar, and snorkeling gear to use.

What really makes this place so incredible though is the people who work here. They are so kind and are always doing everything they possibly can to make you feel welcome, to put a smile on your face, and to ensure you are completely content at all times during your stay. This is especially true of the manager, Charlie, who I cannot say enough good things about. He does everything - from overseeing check in/check out, serving food at the restaurant, bartending at the beach bar, and just generally paying close attention to every detail of every guest's stay to ensure it is perfect. He works so hard doing all of this, yet is so gracious and hospitable that he makes such incredible effort look easy.

The last day we were at the resort, after we had already checked out, Charlie gave us round of free drinks on the beach. Then when he saw we were taking photos of ourselves on a nearby rock - he ran over (despite all the other things he was doing) to help us take the best photos possible. We then had an issue with our ferry leaving the island (booking agent sent us the wrong departure time) and Charlie personally drove down to the pier from the hotel to come do everything he could to assist us. He spent more than half hour walking up and down the beach to the different piers, trying to talk to everyone he could on our behalf (all while helping us carry our luggage at the same time). We have never had anyone at any hotel we have ever stayed go so far above and beyond to help their guests - especially after they had already checked out.

This place, and these people (especially Charlie) are truly special. We cannot recommend this resort highly enough for your stay...

Title: A Heavenly Escape at The Cliff Koh Lipe with the Exceptional Service by the manager named Charlie!

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)

Introduction:

I recently had the delightful opportunity to stay at The Cliff Lipe Resort, and I cannot begin to express how impressed I was with every aspect of my experience. From the moment I arrived till my departure, the staff, particularly Mr Charlie went above and beyond to ensure my stay was nothing short of exceptional. Allow me to recount my unforgettable experience at this heavenly resort with the help of their remarkable staff member.

Efficient and Friendly Service:

Charlie, has set the bar incredibly high for customer service. From the moment I checked in, she greeted me with a warm smile and made me feel genuinely welcome. Charlie’s friendly demeanor and attentiveness made me feel like an esteemed guest throughout my stay. Plus I come here with my husband & a 7 month old baby, he really takes good care of us and make sure we are safe & comfortable. Our room is very near to the beach & and the restaurant so that i wouldn’t have to walk far. We choosed to stay at the Jacuzzi Ocean View Suite! The room view is beyond beautiful. No words can describe how grateful i am to experience waking up to see sunrise & beautiful sea right after i woke up from my bed ! ðŸĨ°

Attentive and Personalized Approach:

Not only was Charlie was being efficient, but she also had an exceptional attention to detail. He took the time to listen to my preferences, ensuring that each of my requests was met promptly and accurately. I requested him for a birthday surprise decoration & welcome in our room, and the room was decorated beautifully. I was surprised too.. He managed to make my husband touched! I was euphoric! He’s the best, whether it was arranging for transportation, suggesting local attraction like going for snorkelling at the beach which provided by hotel or facilitating reservations at the resort's extraordinary restaurants, Charlie's personalized approach truly elevated my experience at The Cliff Lipe Resort. And we also enjoyed our bubble bath decorated with roses & candles.. so beautiful i can’t forget. I love every second of each moment!

Knowledge and Expertise:

Charlie’s extensive knowledge of the resort and the surrounding area proved invaluable during my stay. His recommendations for activities and dining options were spot-on, ensuring that I made the most of my time there. His insights into the local culture and attractions provided me with a deep sense of appreciation for the beauty of the destination.

Going the Extra Mile:

What truly set Charlie apart was his unwavering commitment to going above and beyond for his guests. He went the extra mile to accommodate my baby specific needs..

I will definitely comeback here again! It was beyond an amazing stay and i will never forget the moment i spend here! Love it to the max! Please make sure to come here and enjoy your life being in...

I recently stayed at this hotel with my family of four, booking two garden-view pool villas and the last night, the Signature Jacuzzi suite. Unfortunately, our experience fell far short of expectations for a property that positions itself as a luxury hotel. ||1. Misleading Room Features and Cleanliness Issues|The photos of the property are misleading. The open-air bathrooms posed significant issues, particularly with pests. My kids' villa had a large tree within it, attracting frogs that made their way inside the room, onto the bed ledges, and even around the toilet area. This was unsettling, to say the least. You cannot sit outside at the pool area as there are very many mosquitos. ||Additionally, room cleanliness was questionable. On our first night, a cockroach ran between my husband and me while we were lying in bed. My kids also encountered cockroaches in their villa more than once. Though the reception agreed to “deep clean” the rooms after I complained, the fact that this happened in the first place is unacceptable for a hotel in this price range. ||2. Poor Maintenance Practices|One of the most shocking moments was when we were swimming in our pool, and a staff member began distributing rubbish directly outside our villa. This created an unbearable stench and attracted flies. To make matters worse, he proceeded to wash his vehicle right outside, leaving dirty water behind. I had to rush to the reception to demand action, after which they returned to clean the area properly with soap water. Such maintenance practices are unacceptable and far from what one would expect at a so-called luxury property. ||3. Other Observations|- Insufficient Amenities: There were not enough sunbeds for guests, which was disappointing. |- Location: While the views are amazing, the hotel is about a 5-minute transfer from Walking Street, which might be inconvenient for some. |- Food: The buffet was repetitive and lacked variety, though the food quality for dinner was excellent—possibly the best on the island. However, dinner service ends early, with the last order at 8:30 PM, which felt restrictive. The steep pricing for food adds to the disappointment. ||4. Final Thoughts|Would I return? Absolutely not. Despite the stunning views, this hotel does not meet the standards of a luxury property and does not give one a bang on the buck. Cleanliness, maintenance, and service need significant improvement. For the price, you are better off finding a cleaner and more organized hotel elsewhere...
