A place where I just don’t feel like leaving - EVER!
The team at Ten Moons showed me what hospitality should really feel like. They are warm, professional and helpful. Shoutout to Moe Moe - you made our stay felt personalised and amazing from the get go.
Breakfast food was amazing! Everything was made fresh to order. Best believe we tried everything on the menu. We also loved the choices available on their room service menu.
The private villa is huge and clean. Wifi can be a bit slow, depending on the weather. We loved the private pool in our villa. View from the room is just to die for. There’s no bad spots in this resort, at all.
We also enjoyed the free kayak, paddle board and snorkelling equipment. There’s not much to see when we snorkelled near the resort but we still enjoyed it regardless. Sunrise beach is 2-minutes walk away if water is shallow.
You can walk easily to and fro other parts of the island from this resort but the resort entrance is a bit uphill and be very dark at night. The resort offers free motor taxi shuttle everyday from 5.30PM-6.30PM. We made full use of this to go out for dinner. You can also ask the receptionist to call for a taxi outside this time window for THB50 per person.
I can’t praise this place enough and hope to...
Read moreBeautiful, large, brand new rooms with a gorgeous view of sunset beach. Really lovely staff, and, amazingly for Koh lipe - a quiet and secluded beach.
Downsides - the sand is much coarser than at Ten Moons Sunrise (where we also stayed)
A few small suggestions: change the music in the restaurant! It doesn’t fit the relaxed vibe at all. Dance and reggaeton were just really annoying! Needs to be much more background/chill vibes I really hope that the horrendously ugly blue floating pier is temporary. In the middle of this gorgeous little beach is a gigantic blue floating pier, made of bright blue plastic. It’s so so ugly and ruins the natural beauty of the place!
Advice to those looking (as reviews helped me decide!): if you’re looking for peace and quiet, definitely stay here. Sunrise beach (main part) is overpopulated, quite dirty and noisy with boats. Ten Moons Sunrise has the best part of the beach - but there were quite a lot of people/kids. If you prefer soft sand and crystal clear water,...
Read moreI didn’t stay here, but I am very disappointed with the place. My mother, who is 62, and I followed the path to Sunrise Beach. The resort is located in the middle of it, and we were just trying to reach our destination (for those who are unfamiliar, it’s common in Koh Lipe and other islands to pass through resorts to access the beach—no issue). However, the staff directed us to a different path leading to another beach, where we had to climb rocks, which was very dangerous, especially for my mother. It’s extremely disappointing that such large and fancy resorts take up so much space and restrict access to the beach. It’s even more sad for the locals who can no longer use the roads and paths they once did before all the tourists arrived. Traveling is wonderful, but we should be more mindful of nature, the environment, and the locals.
Second time in Koh Lipe and it upset me to think how it will be in the next few years... Probably private beaches all around the place. SAD!!
