WE HAD RATS IN OUR ROOM!đ We wanted to stay for four nights but checked out after just one night. First of all: itâs soooooo hot in the room because there in no AC, just a really old fan. There were a lot of ants in the bathroom and also Centipedes. Our room was not even clean, it seems like they donât want us to feel comfortable. The whole ceiling was full of spider webs and the room was really dark! The way to the accommodation is really dark and scary. In the first night we woke up, because we heard something and saw a Rat at our Backpacks. After that, we kept seeing rats running around the room. We couldn't sleep anymore and stayed awake until 7am to check out early, we really just wanted to leave this place as soon as possible. When we checked out, the receptionist wasnât even shocked about what we saw!!! It seems like they knowed about this problem before! We told him the story and his reaction was âok, which room?â. What disappointed us the most was, that they havenât even apologized to us or attempt to offer us anything! We didnât even get our money back!! The service was really really bad! Not even an apology, that is the least we could have expected! This was the worst night we had on our trip and the worst accommodation.
After that we checked in at the âNoi Guesthouseâ and we really recommend staying there! They have AC Rooms and the staff ist sooo nice. Also the breakfast was really good. We...
Read moreThis is the first time I have been so traumatized by a stay that I fled the same night. When I hobbled into the facility with my suitcases after the extremely exhausting boat trip, I had to relax first. This was impossible. Because of the bamboo construction, the room felt 10 °C hotter than outside. There was no air conditioning, just a weak fan. You can't dry off after a shower because you're constantly sweating from the heat. After about an hour, I developed heat shock with a migraine. I couldn't even unpack my suitcase because there was no room for it. I was hoping that the room would at least cool down during the night. It didn't. Completely exhausted, I just wanted to sleep. When I wanted to go to bed, mosquitoes and large cockroaches came into the room. I knew then that I had to leave as quickly as possible. I literally booked a new hotel at 10 o'clock at night because I couldn't stand staying in that room any longer. I found the cockroach dead in the bathroom the next day. I think it died from...
Read moreStaying at Hideaway was such a pleasant highlight of our time in Koh Lipe. The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Stayed for six days and wished I could've extended my time even longer. The rooms are simple but cozy, filled with charm, and the location is idealâclose to dining spots but far enough from the center to avoid the noise. I loved having a hammock, and the lobby lounge area was a great place to relax as well. Breakfast each morning was delicious, especially the avocado toast smoked salmon and turmeric bowl, which were both tasty and filling.
A special thanks to Aris for his exceptional hospitality and for assisting us with everything we needed. We also joined Aris and his team on a sunset boat ride to a secluded beach for a beach clean-up. It was such a peaceful and beautiful experience, away from the crowds, and it felt meaningful to contribute to the island's well-being. Weâll...
