Read moreTo be honest, this is a only restaurant that knows how to make an advertisement. But, food is not good at all. I see a lot of people marketing for this restaurant on REDBOOK (a App in China), but also lots of tourists said DONT COME. There are two reasons. 1) The average price of this restaurant is 30%-50% higher than the other restaurant. 2)The food is not good. This is the last dinner that I had in Koh Lipe, I ordered ’Fried squid with soy sauce‘ and ‘Crispy seafood salad’. I thought the Thai salad might be sour and spicy, but it’s very sweet and the seafood is not crispy at all. The squid seems different with the picture on the menu, and add lots of Amomum tsao-ko. So strange. I spend 550 for these two dishes, but on yesterday, I spend 380 for three dishes, one rice, and two Coke Zero in the other restaurant. Normally, the average price per dishes should be around 100-150, in Papaya Mom the average would be 250-300. Hope your guys don’t come. Go deeper from the...
Read moreThis place is overrated, we came here because of the good reviews but were quite disappointed. The place is crowded and people come and go all the time and share tables, not really a restaurant atmosphere. It took almost an hour for food to arrive at the table (also 20 min for simple drinks like cola and sprite) and because of the sharing of tables they brought us meals for other people multiple times so we had to redirect it. At the cashier, the bill was completely wrong and they had charged us more than we ordered (they put other people‘s orders on our bill) and a chicken leg that we ordered but never received within 2 hours. So be mindful and check your bill before paying! We won’t come back, but we have to say the food and live music were good (not worth the...
