I stayed at Sala Lung Dam in Fishermans village for 2 months in Feb/March 2013. It's a 5 minute walk to the beach and 100m to the intersection and main road to Mae nam or south to Chaweng or Lamai. I used Sala Lung Dam as my base as it was very cheap, much cheaper than booking on the net. I went into the office one day and met the owner Mao and what a lovely lady she was. She went out of her way to help me with everything I required regarding bookings and trips all over the island. We negotiated a price which both of us were happy with. It was the cheapest price in the village and I had everything I needed while staying there. Wifi was very fast and it was very quiet at night even though we were on the main road into Fishermans village. Please note that Mao has 2 different types of accommodation. The one in the village does not have a pool, but a very beautiful garden. The house with the pool is about 2 kms outside the village, but also very quiet, fast wifi and very peaceful. I will definitly stay there again when I go back to Samui as I had such a pleasant stay the 1st time. I also felt very safe being a woman on my own at night. Her husband was the police chief in the village and there was always police around the complex which made me...

Read moreThis place exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we entered, we were greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The room was not only spacious but also very clean, equipped with all the amenities we needed. The additional sitting area in front of the room was a delightful bonus. The location is perfect, right in the center, only a 2-minute walk to all the fantastic restaurants in Fisherman’s Village!!
What truly set this hotel apart, however, was the exceptional hospitality of Oum. She went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, and her kindness was evident in every interaction making this place feel like home.
I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a comfortable and welcoming place to stay. Additionally, they offer amazing yoga lessons, and Oum is an exceptional teacher. Her melodic voice, used skillfully in chanting, adds an extra layer of tranquility to...
