When searching for an authentic Thai restaurant, I came across this gem on Google Maps. I’m very particular about food quality, service, and atmosphere, so I was initially skeptical since it’s located in Fisherman’s Village. However, from the moment we arrived for brunch, the atmosphere immediately set a positive tone—it was warm, inviting, and full of good vibes. You could tell they put thought and effort into creating the perfect ambiance, which gave me confidence that the food would live up to expectations.

The staff greeted us with the warmest smiles, despite the heat and the hustle of serving customers. Their genuine hospitality shone through, and their recommendations were spot on, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. The menu wasn’t overly complicated, which I appreciated-sometimes having too many choices can be overwhelming, but here, it was just right.

And then came the food, which completely wowed me. The beef Massaman curry was the best I’ve ever had—perfectly creamy and savory. The chili shrimp soup was bursting with flavor, and the spice level was authentically Thai—bold and fiery! The fresh coconut water was incredibly refreshing, and the dessert? The mango was absolutely phenomenal—so tasty, sweet, and satisfying. The combination of caramel, mango, cinnamon compliments each other.

Even the cocktails received glowing reviews from the table next to us. One guest was so impressed, he came back just to tell the staff how amazing they were!

If you’re looking for a cozy, warm spot with exceptional food and fantastic cocktails, this is the place to go. I highly recommend it. Just a heads-up—they tend to get quite busy during dinner, so it’s best to make a reservation.

The owner Patrick, he is really approachable!

Do not miss this place. Be a little polite in approaching them because they are...

A Culinary Masterpiece: Thai Tapas Redefines Excellence

From the moment we stepped into Thai Tapas, we knew we were in for something extraordinary. The warm, inviting ambiance, complemented by elegant decor, set the perfect stage for what turned out to be a mesmerizing dining experience.

A Visual and Flavorful Feast

Every dish at Thai Tapas is a work of art, meticulously crafted to delight both the eyes and the palate. The gold-dusted crème brûlée was a showstopper—luxurious, rich, and silky smooth, with the perfect caramelized crust that shattered beautifully under the spoon. The addition of an edible gold leaf and crisp tuile elevated this classic dessert to something truly opulent.

Equally stunning was the mochi-inspired dessert, served in a striking black bowl with an explosion of pink dust. It was delicate yet indulgent, a perfect balance of creamy, chewy, and subtly sweet. Each bite transported us deeper into a realm of flavor mastery.

The pink jasmine rice was another highlight—not only visually striking but also fragrant and perfectly cooked, pairing beautifully with our mains. Watching it being served with such enthusiasm added to the joy of the experience.

Beyond the Food: An Experience Worth Savoring

Thai Tapas is more than just a restaurant; it's a celebration of Thai flavors, artistry, and hospitality. The attention to detail, from plating to service, is impeccable. Each dish tells a story, and the passion behind the culinary creations is evident.

Whether you’re a connoisseur of Thai cuisine or simply seeking an unforgettable dining experience, Thai Tapas delivers in every way possible. Expect to be wowed, delighted, and completely immersed in a gastronomic adventure that lingers in your memory long after the last bite.

A Thai Fusion Feast to Remember – Flavour, Flair, and Fantastic Vibes!

Chanced upon this place located along the streets near entrance of Fisherman Village. Had our first dinner in Samui at this Thai fusion restaurant which delivered one of the most memorable dining experiences we’ve had in a long while. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was buzzing — clearly a top favourite among tourists and for good reason. The space was clean, intimate, and inviting, with the kind of warm energy that instantly makes you feel at ease.

We were especially impressed by the staff — attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They prepared the table within minutes despite the place being fully booked. Despite the crowd, everything was handled with ease and professionalism, a true credit to the excellent management behind the scenes.

The food was absolutely next-level. We opted for a spread of Thai tapas, and each dish was a delightful surprise. The coloured rice was not only visually stunning but also paired beautifully with the bold flavours of the accompanying sides. Have to give a top review on their fusion-style mango sticky rice took a classic dessert and elevated it — think creamy, fragrant, and just the right amount of inventive flair.

Every element of the meal was crafted with intention and creativity, blending tradition with a modern twist in the most delicious way possible. We left with full hearts, happy bellies, and decided to return for a 2nd time on the night before we leave Samui.

This is more than just a restaurant — it’s an experience. 100% recommend (just don’t forget to book — it gets busy...

I was walking down the street in this quaint little town called Fisherman's Village on the island of Koh Samui. I stumbled upon what might be the best meal I had in all Thailand. There's this beautiful little restaurant called The Thai Tapas (@thethaistapas) in Koh Samui. The decor is perfect in every way. The owner is from France, but his chef is a local Thai lady. The two of them combined to make one amazing menu of offerings. The Lamb Red Curry Panang was so fing good that I could have had 5 bowls. It was topped with a chiffonade of Keefer lime leaves, and roasted black sesame oil was drizzled around it. The flavor combination was simply delicious bite by bite. The blue rice is cooked and colored by using butterfly tea flowers. I also tried the Thai Tacos. Now, 1 live in San Diego and have access to the best tacos in America. But these tacos have such a unique flavor that only a Thai dish could offer. Tangy, spicey, and garlicy with the green sauce it came with. Absolutely fantastic. To finish the meal, the sous vide mangoes with a chewy tartine andcinnamon ice cream was the perfect way to end a great lunch. The only bad part about this restaurant is that it is only in Koh Samui, and I most likely will not get the chance to eat there again. Ifi was a local, I would retrun until I tried every bite on the menu!
