Clean and spacious place. Food is delicious. Masamun Curry (แกงมัสมั่น) is excellent, mild and rich but flavourful. The curry is well-balanced, nothing overpowering. It's absolutely a lovely dish, highly recommend everyone to try Masamun Curry (แกงมัสมั่น).The soft and sweetness from the fresh coconut milk is significant, lovely. Second recommended dish is Kua Kling (คั่วกลิ้ง), Stir fried minced Pork with Thai Southern yellow curry paste. This dish is absolutely delicious. We ordered one dish as the local eat and another dish is not spicy. Both 2 versions are delicious, flavourful and great aromatic, every bite just like jumping in the herb garden. Please be prepared, this dish is really spicy, very hot. If you cannot eat this hot, order it non spicy, it is still delicious. Another dish recommend is a southern soup, Gaeng Tai Pla (แกงไตปลา). We were given a small bowl as a complimentary, but it is really delicious. Deep fried duck mouth is great, crispy and yummy. Wow, I will definitely come back here again to try...
Read moreAmazing place that lived up to and exceeded all the reviews. It’s open to street, under corrugated iron roofing, and the food is excellent. Two of us dining. We had Tom Yung Kung (so much more than a prawn soup) which was really fiery and just as it should be. Full of large prawns, tomatoes, mushrooms, ginger, lemongrass and chilli. A dream. Also great were the crispy fried pork with basil and chilli (such good flavours right through) and the spicy fried snapper, which had lovely heat, and was so tasty. We finished off with chicken pad thai, lovely rich and sweet and a great counterpoint to the chilli in the other dishes. This was ample for 2 of us, hardly anything left over. We had 3 large white wines and a small and large beer. Total cost 1490 bahts £35….But without the booze, about half that, so the food was about £18 for two. When we were there, there were about 3-4 other westerners there, everyone else was local which we took as a good sign. If you’re in Bo Phut, Pichet is a must, about 5 mins from...
Read moreRecommend to me by someone who lives in Samui and it was a great recommendation. The menu may be a bit tricky to navigate but don't let that put you off, the staff will help you. There's sweet and sour for example but I would recommend the chicken in coconut milk, very mild and the Phat kaphrao which can be made spicy or no spice. They have pad thai and all the usual suspects. The seating is open and under a metal roof, but again, don't let this put you off, order some dishes have a steamed rice each and try everything. The Village will be around 300-500 baht including drinks and tip so if you really don't like it then pay, leave and go to the nearby...
