Beware of the 1.000 Baht scam at this place!

I was here with a friend. His drink was 100 Baht. He gave the waitress a 1.000 Baht note to pay but she kept insisting on an additional 100 Baht note, which he didnt have and which we didnt understand why. She pretended to speak only basic English. He was given back the full change. So he was very lucky.

The next day I learned that another friend was scammed with this method at this place. She gave a 1.000 Baht note to pay and the additional Baht note. The bar then claimed that she only gave a 100 Baht note and kept the 1.000 Baht note. She was with a friend who was at the toilet while this happened.

We found this beauty at the beginning of our trip and have been back almost every night since on a 12 day trip to Samui! Super friendly bar staff (Jack is the best) and a very friendly and hospitable owner! Great long happy hour from 3pm to 9pm with delicious cocktails and lots of specials!! Free pool all night! Very clean and safe environment with open air style and fans everywhere. Also many screens playing whichever sport you request (much to my partners delight). Worst experience ever. Trying to sleep here is having a speaker blasting in your room 24/7. The walls shake, and it sounds like you're inside the bar. This isn't a party hostel; it's a regular guesthouse above a bar, an incompatible combination. It's one or the other, but never both. I would never return.

If you want a party hostel, go elsewhere. If you want to rest, definitively go elsewhereo. I can't find any reason anyone would want to stay here.

The rooms are fine, but the heat is unbearable without air conditioning.
