The Worst Hospitality Experience I’ve Ever Had — A Shameful Reflection of This Hotel’s Standards
I am beyond shocked and disappointed by the treatment my family and I received at Hotel Bangkokian. As a pregnant woman traveling with my injured husband and our 11-year-old child, I expected at least the most basic level of care and courtesy — especially from a hotel that claims to be rated 8.9.
Instead, we were met with complete disregard and appalling behavior from the night staff, a male employee who clearly lacks even the most fundamental hospitality skills. It was raining heavily when we arrived, and not a single person came to assist. No umbrella. No greeting. No care.
Worse still, he mistook us for delivery drivers — not once, but even after being told clearly that we were guests. I was left to walk in the rain alone, heavily pregnant, soaking wet. My husband, who is recovering from a leg injury, was also left to struggle without any help. And our child? Completely ignored.
This is not just poor service. This is inhumane.
And when we asked for support, we were met with rudeness, a dismissive attitude, and absolutely no professionalism. My husband, during check-in, experienced direct verbal disrespect from this same male staff member. I’m not sure what department he belongs to, but based on his attitude and lack of training, he should not be allowed anywhere near a front desk — or any guests, for that matter.
This entire experience is not just unacceptable — it is unforgivable.
If anyone doubts this happened, I urge the hotel to review their own CCTV footage of that night. Everything I’ve described is real, and there is no excuse for how we were treated.
To the management: Your failure to train and supervise your staff has resulted in an experience that was not only unpleasant but emotionally distressing for an entire family — including a pregnant woman and an injured guest. You have lost our trust forever, and I sincerely hope others will think twice before...
Read moreI have recently stayed for 5 nights at the Hotel Bangkokian, and I can definitely say this is one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had in Bangkok! The moment I arrived, I felt welcome and cared for and was impressed by the modern and cozy atmosphere of the hotel.||Perfectly located in the heart of the city, near Pratunam, yet tucked away just enough to be peaceful and private. Getting around is so easy, whether it be via BTS, airport rail link, or even just walking to nearby markets and malls.||My room was clean, fashionable, and well thought out. I was in one of the rooms on the upper floors with views over the pool and city skyline; it felt brand new. The bed was extremely comfortable, linens soft and fresh; I liked all the little touches, such as reading lights, quiet air-conditioning, an openable French-style balcony, and eco-friendly amenities. The bathroom was modern and clean, with strong water pressure and a tub in which to relax.||The pool area fast became my favorite spot for unwinding. It’s so well designed: long enough for a proper swim with sun loungers that capture the afternoon light to perfection. The Seeker Pool Bar lends a fun social vibe; their drinks are delicious, with Thai tea and mocktails being what you should definitely not miss.||What really made my stay special, though, was the service: every staff member I met-reception, housekeeping-was warm, polite, and genuinely attentive. They went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable, offering local tips, assisting with transportation, and even remembering my name and room number by day two. It's the kind of personalized hospitality you rarely find in a city hotel these days.||After five relaxing nights, I left refreshed and grateful for such a considerate stay. I'd recommend Hotel Bangkokian to anyone because it truly combines comfort, style, and genuine Thai hospitality in one perfect package.||I will definitely be back next time I...
Read moreWe have been staying in this hotel for 2 weeks and it has been great.
The staff are very polite, helpful, and patient. The smallest room option is appropriately priced, but may be a bit small for a couple. The rooms that are 23 sq. m. are more spacious, and also have direct access to the pool area. The rooms and sheets and towels, and free water and coffee are replaced daily by housekeeping.
The rooms have plenty of outlets to connect gadgets. The TV also works well and have Netflix and Youtube, but you need to have a Samsung account which was easy to set up. The WIFI was always accessible and had no connectivity issues.
If you happen to visit the Seeker bar be sure to try the Drunken Elephant cocktail. The staff in the bar is also very polite and accommodating. There are free towels in the pool area too.
We have not tried the breakfast buffet because we saw the other reviews that the food is the same everyday, but there are plenty of places for food in the area anyway. It is better to use Grab for food delivery.
All in all, it is a nice and cozy quiet hotel which is accessible.
The only minor improvement I can recommend is the toilet doors. If you are staying with a friend, there isn’t much privacy because although it can be locked, the other people in the room can hear through it because the door looks like a...
