Authentic Sino-Thai seafood in retro setting
I walked by this restaurant a few times before and finally had the chance to take a serious meal here - just to find that it's a treasure now sadly hidden amidst the heavy congestion due to the new rail construction.
Seafood is well prepared with a tint of Chinese home cuisine that sets it apart from many other similar restaurants. If you like the original taste of fresh food this is the place.
My favorite is the curry crab meat which the sauce is so yummy to not get a bowl of rice to clear the plate. The stir-fried oyster cake is also appealing as each fatty oyster calls for one bite and another.
The setting is retro which reminds one of the good old days of Bangkok's glory.
Another important thing is that I don't feel thirsty after the sumptuous meal - a good sign of the natural taste of the food.
Definitely need to come back to try out...
Read moreAll the popular dishes tops all the stars, not really about the ambience here but this staple seafood restaurant that’s been around forever has the quality always consistent! The crab curry is different from other seafood restaurants and super flavorful with lots of crab meat.
Our favorite was crab fried rice and the black olive fried rice that has minced pork and also nice chunky shrimps meats as well which was a bonus!
If you love tom yum, theirs is the best and never stingy on the shrimp and coconut milk used to make it creamy!
Shrimp cakes are also an all time favorite. One con would be around traffic to get here and less parking so I wish there were more branches but this is the original and it just has that historic feel and the staff are just awesome!
I eat here when I can buy also ordering delivery has the same quality and...

We had their signature curry crab, would recommend it. Food was tasty and hot. Other notable items were the calamari rings (++tasty) as well as the tom yum soup (red and creamy). We also had the water mimosa vegetable and the spicy salad. (The spicy salad is a plate with prawn and oysters which were lightly cooked).
Also would ++ reccommend having the ‘deep fried ginkgo with salted’ which is a very nice start to the meal with beer. Or fanta orange like me 😀
Toilets are clean and decent, there are 3 cubicles. Air conditioned place so great for families with young children. Staff were extremely polite, and helped to clean plates/fill drinks regularly. Good table service. Would definitely...
