Royal Grill Room & Wine Cellar — Restaurant in Pattaya City

I have no idea how this place has so many good reviews on Tripadvisor. First off, the photos must be somewhere else in the resort as I was seated at the Panorama restaurant by the lobby and given a menu that said Royal Grill Room on it. If you value quality food, especially in Thailand, I would seriously avoid this place. I sat down for dinner and had to ask a total of 3 times just for water. Then they brought out something I didn't order, I'm not sure what it was exactly but it tasted pretty bad. At this time, I also took the opportunity to once again ask for water as well as a napkin. Next they brought out the baked goat cheese for the appetizer. This was literally just 5 crackers with 5 pieces of cold cheese, it definitely was never near an oven. I took one bite of the cracker and told the waitress I just wanted to cancel my main dish. Of course, it was already done so I told them to keep it and paid about $50 for a meal I didn't eat. All in all, this was definitely the worst "fine dining" experience I've ever had. After all of that, I definitely won't be eating at any of the other restaurants during my stay at the Royal Cliff...

An unforgettable evening at Royal Grill Room & Wine Cellar!

Everything about our dinner was absolutely perfect — the atmosphere, the service, and the food. The wine selection was excellent, and the meat was cooked to perfection — tender, juicy, and full of rich flavor. The dessert was simply divine, a true highlight of the evening!

We were especially impressed by the outstanding professionalism and warmth of Kittikun S., our restaurant manager and host. He made us feel so welcome and created a truly memorable dining experience. His kindness, sense of humor, and attention to every detail turned our dinner into something truly special.

Our last night at the Royal Wind Hotel so we decided to enjoy a meal at the Grill Room and what a delight. We enjoyed the tenderloin with potatoes and vegetables which was cooked perfectly , the vegetables were vibrant and crisp. Started our meal with a fresh Caesar salad and the crab rolls which were scrumptious. The service was spot on…flatware exchanged or provided based on the next course, wine poured when low and everyone was so kind! We’re sad we have to leave as we would have enjoyed...
